We are out here on this Earth and surrounded with everything we need to live amazing lives. So why have we created, and continue to tolerate, a system that makes us work our whole lives earning money so we can pay for the privilege of living?

This is what has always bothered me. The need to constantly pay bills. We in America and other countries get punished for not paying bills on time. Alot of people that don't pay their bills on time is because they don't have the means to. An unexpected expense arises, yet the companies, corporations, banks punish those people by charging a penalty fee. This is disgusting. The greed is disgusting. They have alot already but want more and more and people are stressing, starving, suffering just to make ends meet.

You’re supposed to be saving while paying others’ mortgages, high premiums, high food costs, etc. The corporations are not expected to save for rainy days however, they can just go to the federal govt which will indirectly tax everyone through inflation to bail them out, making our rent, food costs etc even higher.

I feel you. I'm so done trying to make a decent living and keeping my mental health ok. It's a never ending game of - what do you agree to sacrifice to stay alive and have food on the table? And at each sacrifice, you need to make a new one. I tried earning good money and I did. Burned out. I tried to have a chill job and live simply. Well I am on edge/broke each time something unplanned comes up. And even chill jobs become stressful because when you do them right and stay, your manager gives you more responsibilities whether you like it or not. I'm literally at a stage where I wonder - why is it so complex to have just a simple life? I'm a hard worker, I don't have crazy dreams, I just want to enjoy my days, not take work home and look forward to tomorrows. It's like a game where all the combinations are wrong. Well, that's fine and dandy, but your post is lacking some macro-economic sense. This is a Keynesian system my friend; permanent inflation and permanent growth. When exports decline, along with productivity, and the US continues to export dollars in the form of loans; everything becomes devalued. This is why your wages don't keep up with inflation. This is simple supply and demand in a Federal Reserve controlled economy. If you want people to stop living in poverty having to work so much, then credit needs to be 'severely' constricted and productivity/exports need to increase. This will increase the worth of the dollar in the currency markets. Giving people artificially low interest rates on debt only drives demand/inflation. Stop subsidizing people and this will cease to happen.

You're describing a problem with the Keynesian model and getting into the macro-economics of imports/exports and productivity. Wages do NOT keep up with inflation because of two primary reasons. The number one export in America is (US Dollars) and productivity continues to decline in an inflation based economy.

Thanks for bringing this up Tim. Im fortunate to say that I haven’t paid rent since July 2022. I’m currently doing the WWOOF program, I don’t have to pay any rent, I just have to work my 20 hrs week of farm work (they don’t pay you for your work). We share a communal kitchen, bathroom, and outdoor shower, with my own private dwelling. And now I’m working part time at a bakery within walking distance to make money while I’m here. That’s my hack. I have a lot of mosquito bites and have to deal with some weirdos sometimes but it’s better than paying rent for this broken system. That’s the problem with capitalism/the free market, it allows for inflation to happen and unsustainable costs to rise only to the greedy person’s benefit. Even the good hearted businesses have to raise their prices because they’re just trying to make ends meet. I’m so over it and I try to spend my money as wisely as I can now. Im gonna keep grinding it out over here til I pay off my debt as well. Thanks for the message Tim! Edit: should let everyone know that this type of lifestyle isn’t for everyone. It’s a lot of manual labor farm work and sleeping in camping-like conditions. There are also weird people/situations that you’ll find in these communal farm environments. But other than that, it’s a humbling experience and you do get to spend everyday closer to nature, which I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Seems it has been my soul contract to be in opposition to it. I'm like you. I know we can do better, I want the best for all. Its completely unacceptable that in this system we are required to justify and "earn" our place to simply live in this life where we had no say being brought into. There is a very small cabal of psychpathic criminals who control this system for their own benefit at the expense of the majority. That needs to end and I hope I see it with what time I have left. This sytem has not worked for me and I'm looking forward to moving on because this human experience has really ceased to be enjoyable for me. I'm worn out, beat down, and simply done. I’m 66 years, three months and 29 days as of my comments. I’m still living on this planet earth watching things deteriorate, self-destruct because of going against God. I did not make me or anything. God is in charge and sees all. Letting go and letting God do his thing is how I am. As long as God give me breathing abilities, strength, wisdom and all that he wants me to experience, I am grateful. Better later than in my earlier years to discover the truths as to how things are and has been. Since a little girl around 5 learning about former President John F. Kennedy getting shot, they made me look and think about life that much more being a young child. Music kept peace, harmony and balance within me. That ain’t never changed. While chaos is all around me, I’m dancing and singing and observing. What has not killed me has made me stronger, wiser and better. I’m going to my grave knowing that God is who I will face. If that is a lie, it ain’t my fault. Keep smiling and shining with the sun, moon, stars, and everything and everyone else. Why? Because it is great for mind, body and soul. Smiles

I admire the homeless because they somehow living without things many abuse and take for granted. Homeless people should make a person humble themself as many do not think they can become homeless. Just because a person is homeless does not mean they do not u derstand or have love or caring or peace. Many people living in houses with employment are not at peace. No matter what being grateful for all that exists is the best way to live. That which one can not control, accept it and be at peace with it. The demonic kingdom loves confusion and wants others to be confused. God is not about confusion nor chaos. Wages cannot keep up with those debt obligations if the credit is not producing it's weight in material value. If you want wages to strengthen against the US Dollar, then raise interest rates and give tax incentives to keep production in the US. They can't fathom all this; parking fines, TV licence, overpriced goods, speeding tickets, etc. Every time wages go up, they ensure the price on everything else goes up too, essentially keeping us trapped in the system of working until retirement, yet, workers Always have the power. Working to live is part and parcel of the never ending cycle of being stuck in the matrix. I'd prefer to be a farmer, far away from metropolis life with 3 Rottweilers and music instruments.

October last year I decided to get out from under a house payment and move into my van + climate controlled storage. I got tired of all my money being gone all the time. Rent and utilities were the most expensive bills. As for medical care, I have the V.A. for now. I'll be 60 next month. Tired of losing, now I'm winning. Gotta be unorthodox about life, 👍

Right on the button Tim! If only we can figure out a way to stop being consumers and become more self sufficient. We the people are sick of paying the system to keep us broke. Take control of our own health, grow our own food, stop falling for the trick that television comercials comvince us we need...name brand clothes, fancy new cars, big house, etc. i feel your video. Felt this way all my life. We are slaves to the system. Wish we all could go off grid make our own way and live in peace instead of stressed out working 3 jobs trying to get by.

Food, water, clothing, housing, medical/dental care, transportation, education, auto insurance, life insurance, all this stuff should not cost money. It should be a guarantee. EXTRAS should cost money. It should be the only stuff that costs money. Vacations. Hotels. Goodies. Luxury cars and homes. Musical instruments. So well put, you pretty much summed it up perfectly. When you really take a step back from things and look at our current economy and society, it really is insane. It is a hard thing to come to terms with but we I think were are living in a dystopia right now, or at least it is dystopian for most people, even if we have technological advances and modern conveniences, the core of our current system is dystopian. Greedy people have claimed/stolen free resources and are selling it back to us. The economy is also essentially a giant pyramid scheme. It is totally rigged against the middle and lower classes. In the 40's someone working in a factory could support a wife, a couple kids, easily be able to afford a house and a car and have enough to be more than comfortable. Now both partners need to work full time just to survive, never mind thrive, it's just plain crazy, life doesn't have to be like this, we are being conned, and in a game that is rigged from the start, the only winning move is not to play.

My buddy, a life-long alcoholic barely worked a day in his life. Once he used up his inheritance of a quarter million, he went on welfare, pays his cheap rent and has enough left over for his daily booze habit. All on the public dime. He even gets free medical and dental. He is now almost 70.

Here's one to grow on: I just learned what "derivative" means. Money is not money. Gold is actually money. The paper they print in the mint is a derivative of gold, and the digital direct deposit you see in your account is a derivative of the paper. Here's where the problem starts. The word "dollar" is supposed to be a weight measurement equal to 1/20 an ounce of gold, aka $20 an ounce. But gold is now $2,000 an ounce. So they've devalued the dollar by about 99% since 1933.

Thank you for this video I've been thinking about this a lot lately and still see a lot of people oblivious to it. I've come to realize how evil this world is when people are left to die for not being able to pay healthcare or be homeless and starve. Realised that earning money is not true happiness either it is just temporary relief that you can then have access to food and resources to survive. Never understood people who celebrate when they received their paycheck.
