In my opinion true colors is definitely weaker then DE but not by a lot. DE had max and cool time/alt universe powers where as TC had a protag we don’t have a lot of connection to and boring powers.

D9 has no absolute idea of what they're doing and they just don't' care, it's just about money at this point. As if the mess in Double Exposure wasn't enough, they will bring Max AGAIN for another sequel I just wish they would stop messing with the original game. That's the worst! The plot in Double Exposure is so uninteresting and nonsense...

(sorry for any mistakes, english is not my first language) i fell in love with this franchise mostly because of the vibe and nostalgia and how i could easily get attached to the characters. i am a very emotional person and life is strange truly changed my life. every game had its unique vibe to it, like in before the storm i could easily relate to chloe and her struggles and the vibe of the early 2010s hit HARD. it had a lot of plot holes but the soundtrack, scenery and the tempest scene where rachel basically asks chloe to run away with her AHHHH its was so magical i cant even explain. and the dlc? it made me sob like a 5 year old. in life is strange 1 the relationship/friendship chloe and max had was so natural (unlike now when they try to push lgbtq+ into every media even when its UNNECESARY) and like you said, the plotwist was so fire. all the characters max,chloe,kate,warren and others - i could symphatize with all of them in some way. life is strange 2 is my personal favourite - choices matter the most and i have a little brother so the story moved me in so many ways, how they portrayed racism towards mexicans and how sean was willing to do almost anything for daniel. i was also happy when i saw chloe and max picture in davids car (i sacrificed arcadia bay), so of course i was very excited about the new game and was rooting so hard for chloe and max...yeah... " we will respect both endings " they said... like don't get me wrong but we can clearly see that this game was made by a different company who took max as a cashgrab. pricefield breakup didnt make any sense. i know it would be really hard to make chloe appear in some way due to two completely different outcomes in LiS1, but they could have handled it SO MUCH BETTER. also i feel like max lacks personality lol but its just my personal opinion 1) max and chloe breakup - okay, tell me WHY THEY BROKE UP. tell me ABOUT THEIR STORY. WHAT THEY'VE BEEN THROUGH. not just "oh we broke up even tho i sacrificed the whole town for her cuz we had an argument. what argument??? haha it doesnt matter lets stick to this cheap alex chen wannabe who i know nothing about" 2) max's trauma - they handled it very badly in my opinion. they had so much opportunities. they could have made a game where max shifts between two realities like in comics and learns to live with her trauma. THEY. DIDNT. NEED. TO. ADD. NEW. LOVE. TROPES. like that doesnt make any sense. chloe and max didnt have to break up in bae>bay ending. they could have made them a long distance couple. just some messages. anything. this is just my personal opinion but i think the breakup didnt make any sense after all they've been through together. this game just lacks what other games had - characters which you can emphatize with, cool vibe and story. it was just so... plain true colors even though it was also made by decknine was pretty cool, i enjoyed. glad i only watched double exposure gameplay and didnt pay for this. i wish they just left LiS1 like it was if they cant handle the sequel properly.

Don't Nod made Life is Strange 1 & 2, They are Now Working on Lost Records Their own Life is Strange Game. Decknine Games was Hired by Square-Enix after Don't Nod said they were not going to Make a Max & Chloe Sequel. Then Square Enix took Don't Nod off Life is Strange but getting to the point Decknine Games made Life is Strange Before the Storm, Life is Strange True Colors & Life is Strange Double Exposure.

I was really disappointed with this game! I agree with you on almost everything apart from, I did think it was cool to bring Max back but she just didn't have a decent story to back it up! The ending is awful, I couldn't believe it ended when it did, I thought, ok on to the next part, then the credits roll & the end credit scene just made my eyes roll! I'm a huge lis fan, I have a playlist on my channel of music videos but I don't know if I want to make 1 for this game! lol. Great video mate!

Haven't even watched 30 secs and i agree with every word! This game could have been something special....it was ALL over the place and by the end i was more confused then when i started.........shit was SOOOO disappointing

All deck nine games are lazy rethreads of Life is strange 1. Especially true colors the merged multiple ideas into 1 but the plot beats are EXACTLY THE DAMN SAME. It might as well be Chinese Life is strange 1 the power is different but everything else is the same. And even the offing of my favorite GTA Chinatown wars knock off protagonist was mid. Because spoiled by the awful foreshadowing and marketing for the game. As for this one it's plot holes everywhere first 2 chapters are actually great. 3 does weird ass stuff but remained good 4 was contrived af and 5 lazy rethread 1:1 with nothing impactful to give by the end. Dialogue feels like it was ran through chat gpt with some dialogue barely reflecting the choices made with lie one extra line here or there. It does the telltale thing but poorly because that's usually how it works first 3 chapters give you a lot of choices then 4 locks you in with said choices to then have 5 show you their aftermath. But the problem is lots of side plotlines get discarded in the process and the main plot has no meat by chapter 4 and chapter 5 on top of being lazy sends you in a direction no one cares about.
