I prefer them fully unconscious instead of slightly. When they are awake and with their eyes open, they are exposed. But when they're asleep, their aura remains intact. I can hold them in my arms (no, there's no kissing). And the slight expressions they can make should they dream... Just wonderful. It's just too bad they age. I guess it's preferable at the alternative of killing them. Dead, they wither and decay, stealing the world away from a beauty that fights its ungliness.
