are the travel assignments all to large hospitals? Is it just as stressful in these traveling assignments? I have an information session coming up about medical lab tech and debating between that or respiratory tech? I like that you make more traveling but I have 2 toddlers and live in Florida would hate to go far do you think they give maybe travel to other counties if you already in Florida maybe have other assignments in other parts of Florida? love your content and the information you give us new subscriber!

Each assignment is unique. I know a Traveler right now who is working in Alaska in a small hospital, with just him on nights and it’s not busy. See the reason they need techs is because it’s in the middle of nowhere Alaska and all there old techs retired and they can’t find full time techs to work there. Now I’m Hawaii and my hospital is completely different. There are two techs on nights but it’s a very busy hospital and there LIS system is over a decade old which makes the job harder.

As far as I know many of the traveling agencies are based in the US so they won’t send you out of the country.Plus it’s up to you where you want to go. To be considered a travel assignment you have to be over 50+miles from your home location, so if there are travel assignments in other parts of Florida you definitely can work those contracts.
