Tetris is actually based on a more complex puzzle game from the creator's childhood, which utilized pentominoes. He, Alexey Pajitnov, felt the game would be needlessly complicated if he used 5-squared pieces, which allowed for 12 different variations, so he simplified it to four-squared tetrominoes, with only 7 variations. There's a lot of people who have attempted to put some kind of message or meaning behind this game since its inception, especially because it originated in the Soviet Union. I've seen people say it's about the struggles of being a worker, or about the human need to make order from chaos, and more. I don't think it has a meaning, the creator just enjoyed puzzles. Games don't need to be about anything. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Sim City 2000: In politics, the first thing that happens is you cheat to get $100'000'000. Also, the only thing better than building and ruling a civilization is burning it to the ground when you're done. Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005): Watch out for wrist rockets. Also, you're not the hero, you're just a normal person who has a job to do. But also one good fighter with a sharp stick and nothing to lose can take the day. Lego Racers: You know the best thing to get. Go for that. Minecraft: No matter what loot you've gotten, at the end of the day you're still just a blockhead punching a tree. Ocarina of Time: The thing everyone thinks is the best is sometimes really boring.

If you want to master a skill in the real world, you do, in fact, have to repeat it 10,000 times over. That’s literally how becoming a professional in any field works.
