I read and studied these principles when I was in my twenties. Now in my seventies, I again studied them. Although I had forgotten most of them I found that I had applied most and had been living them instead, Had I reviewed and re-applied them in my forties or early fifties I would have advanced greatly. As it is now I have lived a full and spiritual life. In retrospect, I am able to see the areas where I made mistakes and I could have improved. I am in anticipation of an even better eighties.

I've always been a loner, and for good reasons. I'm hated for being self efficient, masculine, handsome, with a bit of charisma and mystic. Things that some men either love or hate in a other men. Yes, I would rather be left alone. I was out there "trying to come to my own" as a young man, but had it all along. Just didn't know it until I had gotten older and realized I have a light, a light that they want to extinguish. I regret I didn't see it when I was younger.

I recently came across a study that said that gratitude and anxiety use the same arena in our brain, and can't simultaneously occur. We are wired with the capacity for our choices to immediately affect us, haha, this is not a profound statement, but a true one. Let's remain grateful. I am happy to have been included in on this life. I know we are living in a backwards world during backwards times, but such is the backdrop we were given, and against such a backdrop, living in a truthful manner in alignment with goodness and beauty will help contrast against the stark magnificence of living well in times of turmoil. I'm 64 and retired. I have been a weight lifter since I was 19. I started practicing martial arts at 21. I still lift and do my kata's and do heavy bag training. I am a musician, and i was a loner since i was very young. I enjoy my friends, but i value my "me" time. I could spend all day writing, preforming, recording, and listening to music. I also have 3 aquariums, i meditate to them. I am a Pagan. I am a fortune teller. I use my crystal ball for fortune tell snd meditation. I studied Carlos Castaneda! Interesting books, i love "The Journey to Ixtalan." I own 60 acres with 55 wooded. I meditate in the woods. Fishing is a relaxing pastime. I eat healthy and am a avid gardener.

Jesus Christ provides with perfect peace. People were made to be part of community, to reach out and support and love one another. I am a hermit by nature ,but that is not how God wants us to be. Yes there are people out there who use you, but we have the Holy Spirit who gives us discernment and who should be kept out of our inner circle of friends. God loves us and has a plan for each of our lives. I have found this the speech of a man who has been hurt and has put up walls around himself. Quite depressing , not encouraging, but stoic and frozen. Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly. To all you out there who are going through hard times or have no hope, Jesus came to give you life . God bless you all, Jesus brings us life eternal. I went through depression and went to end my life, but God came with His amazing love and changed my life. Stoicism is not the answer.

Your absolutely right i gotta learn to value myself before valuing other's time what I'm paying for I had to learn not trust others who are liars manipulators and psychotic assholes...it was my fault for being too nice to those who were up to no good and not be trusted..even though I sometimes had to be disciplined in order to learn my place without being caught up in craziness that's what I get for beefing with evil so much but there's things and certain sacrifices I had to make choices to stop it without losing everything I worked hard for ain't no body was gonna destroy me na huh I've gone through enough and I'm emotionally drained I've had enough I was too weak to set boundaries with toxic enemies but it ain't happening again I refuse to be a victim again. I told myself if I'm being burned out it's because other enemies are trying to sabotage me enough to see me ,fail struggle or give up, I thought I was a narcissistic person but I'm more of empath then a narc I care about other's I try to help others but not be token advantage of I'm afraid to own up to the truths of being wrong if I messed up I'll hold myself accountable but if not then I won't apologize if it's someone else's fault..I shouldn't have been open minded too much that's how I got token for granted and I blame myself for not being cautious of things I do when I should try to be selfless of other's priorities who respect me I make mistakes I don't mean to do them deliberately on purpose but I'd try to find a solution to fix them so it doesn't occur into another problem later and get worst my family would say I need to stop attacking myself on things I do wrong God knows my heart and know the kind of person I am I do self analyze myself I would need to think highly of myself then to talk negative about me and say I'm a terrible person.....I'm human not perfect I mess up at times doesn't mean I don't care it just means I struggle but won't get everything right all the time others who like to complain about everything can either appericate it or kiss my black ass then either way I'm not tolerating stupidity anymore enough is enough I deserve respect and I want to be left alone...I can help others but if they use me that's it their own their own their problems ain't gonna be my concern their own issues are their own not mine.

You are correct about time, time has nothing with grif, loss, and so on however enlightens does, education, self reflection, curiosities of life, generosity to yourself, quiet times, l am alone but l am not lonely. I love to read, write, paint think about the universe and my role in it for a few years. All of the chaos, we live in comes from we don't know who we are we depend on others to tell us we are this or that. Be still, quiet, stop running from yourself you will find yourself and be amazed at who you are.
