Thank you so much for opening up and talking about how you’ve been feeling. It’s so clear how hard you’ve worked over the years. I’ve recently turned 38, but turning 38 years and 10 days old was something I thought about for a long time. My dad passed away when I was 9. He was 38 years and 10 days old. It’s made me realise how short life is, how much we have to embrace it as much as possible xx

Victoria, I lived life in the fast lane all over the USA and Europe for 22 years and have no regrets. I always said, Live like you are dying! As the expression goes "Take the trip, Buy the Shoes, Eat the Cake" I am 69 now and my last 9 years have been consumed my health problems. Varied and many, non stop. I was a swim suit model, a beauty contestant, and a flight attendant for 15-20 years. It goes fast. Enjoy your exquisite beauty, youth, success, and your loving marriage!! You work so hard. You deserve all the best life has to offer Victoria. Sending lots of love ! Jannieo from Maine, USA

Don’t wait until you’re older. “Older” is not guaranteed us. My daughter died at 33. You are in a fortunate position to be the master of your own time, as well as having some financial security. While I absolutely adore your posts, and so appreciate your content and professionalism no job/career is worth harming your marriage and your physical and mental health. I’m 66 years old and spent the better part of 25 years caring for a sick child, aging mother and mother-in-law. My health suffered, I developed severe anxiety, and our marriage was a roller coaster. All while working a more than full-time job as the Director of Corporate Advertising at a major company. We are both now older and retired from our careers. We’ve lost our only child. But thank heaven still have each other. If you can do it now, do it. You will never regret it. Love your Momma in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 😘 P.S. No filming or posting from Copenhagen. 😀 That’s your next challenge, to truly get away and disconnect.

It is such an valuable point that "nothing is promised". My grandfather was 60 when he died. My grandmother barely had a retirement with him before he passed. It's so important to enjoy life now (and to take breaks and time with family), not just in the future.

One of my beautiful friends who I went right through school with lost her husband 5 years ago at age 42, he was fit & healthy, he was earning great money in his job & yet he had a brain aneurysm with absolutely no warning!!! Don’t take each other for granted & make a conscious decision put your relationship ahead of everything else 💕

I retired last year at 59 with lots of plans to do all the things we had dreamed about and saved for. 6 weeks ago I was diagnosed with cancer and I don't know when I will be able to do any of that stuff. Please live your life with balance and take holidays and do stuff that doesn't require an Instagram post ❤❤

Just remember that you’re not letting ANYONE down if you don’t film for a couple of weeks. It’s okay to not vlog your holidays sometimes and just take time for you and Alex. I felt so sad when you spoke about your Nan as the same thing happened to my grandparents . Everyone is entitled to their own privacy and time off from their job, whatever it is. I vote that should Victoria try and vlog her next holiday we should all mute the video and turn our backs in protest🤷🏻‍♀️🤣🤣. Seriously though we will be here when you get back.🥂

I think the reason why the girls’ advice hit so hard this time was because you were READY for it. You were ready to hear it, understand it, and act on it. I’ve noticed that with myself as I’ve gotten older. Certain things just hit so hard now whereas before, when I was younger, I just wasn’t ready or prepared enough or experienced enough to take advice in and really digest it (let alone act on it).

Your vulnerability and honesty in this vlog is is astoundingly gorgeous, Vic. Lately, I've found myself living for the future that may never come, yet have not had the courage to admit to that fact the way you have. Thank you for inspiring me to reflect on this, for considering the bigger picture. My oldest child is going to university in the fall, and my youngest may be doing the same thing one year from now. Time is finite. I guess it's time to carpe diem!

Oh sweetheart, I wanted to reach out and hug you when you were getting upset, it brought tears to my eyes too. I'm 59 this year and I don't know where life has gone, I've had some lovely times but keep thinking "when this happens" or "when that happens" but I have to make it happen before it's too late. Someone said the other day "You have two lives, and your real life starts when you realise you only have one". I've lost friends too young and when that happens you determine to live for the moment, then life's routine takes over again. Don't let it, make this a change that becomes the norm. Live for now and relish your days without them passing by in a mad rush xx

I’m proud of you vic, for opening up and getting vulnerable, going on a full on vacation and letting yourself enjoy life. I completely get it. Victoria, I hardly ever comment but I'm glad you've had a realization and you're making some changes. It's true, many people leave us too soon and we don't know when our time will come. My approach and way of "honoring" them is by living life to the fullest and enjoying it every single day because you never know what might happen. Life is too short to be spent worrying about stupid shit and doing things you don't like. I ask myself "if I die tomorrow, would I die happy"? And the answer is yes. I see you both working incredibly hard! I see you have a really strong work ethic and you're not just in it for the likes and the glamour. But you also deserve a break! Maybe something that could further help are clearer boundaries and separation between when you're working and when you're not. Since you work and live together, maybe choosing certain days/times of day as off or places as off limits etc. Could help create more down time - I know life as an entrepreneur is non-stop which is why it's so important to create those moments of rest. Wishing you all the best with it!

Thank you for being vulnerable and open to your true feelings. My mom has cancer and I took time off to look after her. By the way Alex’s feet are pretty enough for modelling 🥰

Aw Viva, I hear you and feel you....when you lose someone you just never recover but you do tent to view things from completely different perspective and it's so sad we have to expierence to see and understand this. Life is so short and yet so fast and so much pressures but we got to enjoy somehow and yes yes for doing your thing take time off as much as you can, work is always going to be there. Sometimes we r grabbing too much and what for?!!! Health wellbeing and family always comes first. Also can I just say, I have watched your videos for a while now and it's so nice to see you engaging with your vulnerable side, it's real and can relatable. Thanks for sharing. Be kind to yourself and enjoy. Big hugs and love x x x

Victoria, this was so beautiful. Also, something to consider is that when you turn something down, it opens that opportunity up for someone else. What a blessing that is, knowing that the job could be helping someone else at the same time as not doing it helps you to relax. Just something that popped into my head. Hope you had an amazing vacation!!! 💜

Being self employed can be a double edged sword. You have the freedom to choose which jobs to accept but also never know when the next opportunity will surface, so I rarely said no unless scheduling was impossible. I also had a really hard time turning down work to take time off... and subsequently rarely if ever took time off. However, I believe work/life balance is truly key to happiness on all levels... physical health, mental health, family relationships, friendships, etc. Being truly present and making the most of your holiday (with tiny bits of work) looks like it was the perfect balance for you! So proud it clicked for you and hope this will help in making the burnouts less often! I think it’s great you picking favorites over quantity for future fashion weeks. I would much rather watch you not be constantly in a rush and truly enjoy the whole process more! Balance is sometimes very difficult. I think living for today, being really present and appreciating everything fully but still working for the future makes the most sense for me. I have definitely found a little balance goes a very long way! So happy you have found your perfect holiday! 💗💗💗

Thank you for talking about this, Vic, it is so important! I think our generation struggles with this so much because we feel like we have to compensate for something. I was crying along with you talking about your grandparents, so enormously poignant. I think about it with my folks as well - my mother has dementia and I know my dad didn't see things panning out this way for their lives after he retired. It's a shocking life lesson at any time, but even more so when it's "too late" so to speak. I am so happy that you're not waiting until then. Grab life by the balls, babe! xx

Victoria…..I’m so happy for you and Alex…..learning to enjoy your life. You are both the hardest workers in the industry but it’s all for naut if you’re not enjoying the now. Joy IS the reason for working so hard. As your other stories …..my parents were literally three weeks away from “being able to start enjoying life”, when my mother suddenly died at 66. So she missed out on so much and my dad never did do any of the travelling that they’d been waiting to do and has literally been depressed for the past 14 years….exactly like your grandparents. My dad is now 84 and terminally ill. Don’t delay joy. ENJOY your life now snd always. It’s THE reason for working so hard. You can afford it, at such a young age…..you deserve two long vacations a year already. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️ Thank you for opening your heart and story to us.

We can never get the past back. I think the pandemic has really opened up so many people’s eyes on what their quality of life is, what they want and don’t want, and there’s a huge culture shift happening. I’ve always tried to put myself first, but I now have the opportunity, due to remote work, to start making a lifelong dream come true for myself. To live part time near the ocean, to travel, to spend my time as intentionally as possible. I have no regrets about how I’ve spent the past. But I’m taking more control over my future and really putting my wants, needs, and dreams above all else. I love the epiphany you came to. I remember years ago now posting on a comment on one of your blogs, saying that I hoped you could find a balance to enjoy everything you work so hard for, and to enjoy it now, not later.

Dearest Victoria I am 60 ! Please don’t put anything on hold to await that time for things that bring you joy ~ that bring you both joy. Being 60 , as I am, is not horrid ~ but the time left is certainly less unlike when you are in your 30’s. Do things that plug you in regularly so you get less drained. Not the other way round. Make your days count ~ but that count in your meaning of count. It’s great to have goals and fabulous aims … but we actually only truly have the ‘meantime’ and it’s the meantime that we need joy in order to deal with all the other stuff. Marinate in more mango time my lovely xxx This is all said in love to you both xxx

Thank you for talking about this Vic. 💚 I’m 38 and my mum has terminal ovarian cancer, and it’s made me hyper aware that every day counts and that you have to live your life for yourself, not for anyone else. I don’t relate much to many influencers, but as a fellow child-free female business owner in their 30s, your content absolutely resonates with me and I love your honesty - so thank you for making me feel a bit more like I’m not the only one who feels the way I do. 💚

This is the second time within days where I have watched or read someone say “live for today” forget the negative things that have happened today and stop worrying about what will happen tomorrow. Taking it as a big sign. I need to be present.

What a truly genuine vlog. It was such an eye opener to the work demands of a couple who are both brand ambassadors, shoot, edit & create their own content and narrative. Thank you for sharing the epiphany you had on finding joy and fulfilment in what you do and spending quality time with those you love. Don’t wait. For some it might be taking holidays, others it might be a picnic with family & friends, a planned date night, motorbike rides…..you can choose your own adventure. Go outside & experience life. A beautiful message. ❤

I’m thrilled to see you two on holiday. I’m thankful Suzie and Josie were able to help you shift your mindset. To be honest I’ve been concerned about you for a while. I’ve been with you for a long time so I have seen the stress of the last couple years build up. I’m so pleased you’ll be taking more time off. I know you love fashion week but I feel your choice to do less shows will not only be easier on you the content will be easier to keep up with and enjoy. I’m sure we all just want you happy and healthy love. Cheers

This video really has resonated with me so so much. I appreciate your honesty about overworking and not making the time to live for today. So easy to get wrapped up in work/everyday life and not take a moment for yourself. I just took my mom on a girls vacation last week, just the two of us.. because I've been feeling so much lately like time is just passing us by so quickly. I'm 35 and starting to realize that time is flying by! Thank for reminding me that its so important to have these times, especially with those who are alive and well! Making memories and spending time with those who matter is just so important as we get older. Hoping you continue to set the time aside for yourself and all those who you love. Xo

Victoria most of us has got this moment at some point in lives that we realise what is the most important thing and why we are not enjoying life now but instead we are constantly waiting for better times to come or to do more and keep “ happiness “ for later unfortunately nobody knows how much time we have left and it’s so beautiful what you said, maybe someone will listen your story and think 🤔 about their life ❤ You’re so lovely person and you seem really happy xxx

the difference is that it came from you -- you saying what you want. Being old and having worked hard for a long time (and having heard the same things) there are many benefits that people who don't work hard don't understand, like getting to write your own ticket, better work relationships, money for downturns, etc. So I support & adnire you & your husband both working hard and all that you've created.

Hi Victoria. Life is so short and we do not have any guarantee of tomorrow. My sister died at 38 unexpectedly from undiagnosed and untreated leukemia. She always lived life to the fullest. She loved deeply and did everything she loved without fear. I am happy to know she packed so much life experience into such a short time. Start enjoying yourself now! Thank you for your lovely videos.

Watching from my TV 😢 it's such a real thing to have all those feelings but your right we don't take notice of how we drive ourselves, it's just so hard to balance what you have to do and what you really should be doing.... life is very difficult at times we all need lessons on how to better hear ourselves... sending you strength and support for better times❤

Great video as always. Definitely take time for yourself. Work can be fun but quality time is so priceless. You can look at it from a really bleak perspective....my brother at 55 found out he was riddled with cancer at xmas, he died January 16th. He told me to live life as we never know when it's game over. Live now with your loved ones. Sounds corny but hold eachother close. Very emotional but totally relatable vlog xx

I got so emotional with you. It is something I always say to myself. Im so scared of the future and possible sickness and death that I dont even get to enjoy my day to day life. And I have to start to remind myself to enjoy every single day. ❤ And why do we alaways WAIT. Wait for the weekend, wait for a holiday, wait for a stupid package to make us more happy. Its so stupid. Everyday is Life. Impactful important time. ❤

As a dual career couple, since probably age 30... we've stayed on a strict schedule of taking off at least a week (if travel, would try to schedule in both weekends as well to make it 10 days with air) EVERY quarter... so 3 months apart. Your mind, body, spirit needs that break... usually took a couple days before felt free (read, play games/cards, explore area, hike, ski, swim, eat out, show/tour/movie/music, wee bit of shopping.)
