@LOLFanme I grew up in L.A. and I'd come home from school and watch Amos and Andy at 4pm then The Life of Riley came on next..........After that was The Early Show...which was old movies....I usually turned off the TV and went outside to play Hide n seek or some other game....Kids don't play very much now a days.. That was the Life.

@hollowaymccartney You're very welcome, dahling. I totally agree with your opinion of Sterling Holloway. Waldo's episodes are always an added treat! He reminds me alot of Arnold Stang who played Seymour AND his sister Bertie in radio's The Goldbergs. Long before the radio series had made the transition to television. On a related note regarding Waldo, Dink Trout played the character in the radio version of The Life of Riley which can be heard on archive dot org's site.

Thanks for the correction. This episode was entitled "Love Comes To Waldo Binney", in a "Best of" set I purchased from an eBay vendor. As I watched the episode, I noticed it was different from the Waldo Binney episode I had up previously, but in a thorough search online, was unable to come up with anything but LCTWB with either Butch Bernard or Nancy Kulp in the search.

@LOLFanme Wow. I have seen a couple of the episodes Sterling was not a part of. And I didn't found them that funny as them he appears in. I thought that was because of I am so obsessed with Holloway. But its possible is because Waldo is such a good character.

William Bendix was far better in comedies than in dramas. If you want to see unintentional comedy gold, watch him in "The Babe Ruth Story". So bad it's good.

@HickysBoy I totally agree with you about kojak....It did nothing for me, although it was a popular show. As for barnaby jones.....i did not like that either.....at one point buddy ebsen was so old they had to bring in some young actor as his side-kick to do the actual action parts while he just stood there with a gun

Waldo has a high pitched voice and Feminine mannerisms. He is not married. But he is going to marry Millicent who he later finds out was a pre-op transsexual. What a revoltin development that was.
