Why try? When there’s no reward for our effort why would we try? I’m 35, I quit drinking 2 and a half years ago. I lost over 75lbs in that time. Now down to ideal weight for my 6’1” height. I work out almost every day. I deny myself food I enjoy, and fast. I also made $128k gross in 2023. I have zero debt. My house has no mortgage. I spend all my entry money paying taxes or working on my house. My daily cost of living is less than $1,500 a month. Despite my achievement in such a short amount of time relative to my life, I have had zero change in my sex life. I don’t date, not for a lack of interest on my part, but for absolutely zero interest from women. I can completely understand why men have stopped trying.

Their perfect adjustment to that abnormal society is a measure of their mental sickness. These millions of abnormally normal people, living without fuss in a society to which, if they were fully human beings, they ought not to be adjusted.” ― Aldous Huxley Still being willing to act in the real world on behalf of sanity even if not adjusted to the sick society is better than fleeing from it IMO, at least that serves something outside of yourself whereas fleeing from it or ignoring it is merely a detrimental preservation mechanism that limits discomfort.

As a 19 almost 20 year old male who has seen my friends go to college to "participate in society" go through the ringer of this gynocentric society, I can say I'm happy I stayed home. I have gotten closer with my family, I have become more masculine, I have lost 50lbs, I also started to live off the land with my father and mentor trapping, hunting and eating what I get. Even though I deep down would love to find a modest feminine girl and start a family I realize that it is very unlikely and in this society I am worth nothing and hated. Society has done nothing but shun me for being a male, told me I'm toxic for my views and despised me for accepting Jesus as lord. For that I don't want to be apart of it, I will not play the games of rich men and I refuse to be another cog in the feminist machine that is modern society.

Women are very attracted to men who don't need them. The question is, do you even want them if you feel like they are using you? What would they bring to the relationship? Intimacy is not enough when the government threatens men with prison just for having kids. Put another way: If you fulfill your gender role as a provider and protector, what does she do as a woman to fulfill her role?

People become jaded, I know, because I fight it myself. Living a little life, good or bad, is becoming the new normal. When I go to my local bar, I look at the old-timers there as being the last of a dying, semi-extroverted, breed. Third places to go in life to meet people are slowly becoming extinct as this so-called, virtual utopia takes over. What a shame, get used to being alone.

I've largely prefer my online life rather a "real" life mainly because I found the "real world" to be fake and superficial. You wouldn't have found many thoughts roaming the streets of LA or New York or even Ouray compared to a chat of a hundred people making juvenile jokes and inchoate philosophies. The world has always been a mask that let's you see what you want to see. So I spend my time in miscellaneous chat rooms and comment sections looking to develop my social life and to hopefully become more profitable as I sharpen and create a more robust skill set that can allow me to work at home and avoid the day-to-day stink that is modern life.

For every Tesla there have been thousands of regular people, at least. The book "The Axemaker's Gift" makes the point that human advancements have almost always come from a very small percentage of people, often just individuals in the sea of people. These days it is often teams because so much of the groundwork has been done, until somewhere some mad genius makes another great discovery or new device, app, or whatever. The point being that there will have been far more sloths or slugs muddling along than Teslas or Beethovens. To take that away and replace it with what I presume you "grown up" folks consider to be "grown up" would be moronic. I say to you who I know not of, to grow up, stop spending time on meaningless things like collecting cars, boats, houses, women, alimony payments, celebrity gossip, sports and other material things that consume your time that you perceive as enjoyable. Give me a better and more enjoyable option to pursue and I, like many others in the younger generations would happily choose to split our time up better for it. @necrosteel5013
@necrosteel5013 4 ай бұрын
My friend, usually i would agree but this seems like a certified boomer take. The reason why many of these people fall into decay and cannot see any reason not to is simply because even if you achieve that fine body and income... There is nothing worth spending on to actually justify the leap one had to make to get there. America lacks vision in general, even basic shit like building stuff is not permitted. One can go walk outside sure, many do. But it doesn't solve any fundamental problems. We are also looking at a generation that has naturally been disdainful (rightfully so) towards the norms of current society, unfortunately sports also falls under that category. The whole highschool jock flaunting is fine woman, flexing about his vacuous life is an image entrenched when the common unfit man envisions sports. Also consider that with how sedentary, medicated and stimulant heavy common life is in America through things as simple as eating and your asking men to take a lifestyle as far removed from what they live as a peasant would be if forced into the aristocracy under the pretense it was good for them. Simply blaming men for their failings is missing the bigger picture. Blaming video games, porn and most other substances distracts from the most pressing question and subsequently most important point to focus on... That being how can we give them the strength to resist falling into decay. The indulgence is video games, porn, etc,... Is merely a symptom of a much more serious problem. They don't need another form of blame. What men need is an beacon, They need something to put faith in, Be it god, philosophy or some sort of vision to follow. Now, more than ever... The need for a god, not as some mindless doctrine of unquestioning obedience nor as mere Platitude is necessary. The gods are not just figures of authority, they are the very embodiment of virtues. A brilliant light to which all others lost and wayward can gaze upon and find answers.

This is accurate but isnt really offering a solution to folks who arent getting anything good from the real world. Im struggling to portray this to my younger brother. Im still working on myself too but honestly its a lot of hard work and still not that great or fulfilling or fun, so its hard to convince him to come along.

I have the sneaking suspicion that he and many others know the solution, but also know it's too horrible and only a small number of hateful nihilists would go along with it.

Don't pay attention to the screen name, late wife's account. I'm a 57 yr old guy, been married three times. The last one was forever and cut short by cancer. I see no point to getting back into the dating scene. There is nowhere to turn for a realistic chance. Like other, younger, guys, I quit drinking, lost 20lbs and started working out. All this is for me to laugh at these women today. Have my house, truck and car all paid off, investing a load of money. All for me to do what I want, when I want. Yeah, it'd be nice to have female company once in a while, but I don't need it to live my life.

It's pretty obvious things need to change if men all over the world are going MOSS at the same time (men on societal strike). It's not MENs fault. If there's sharks in the water, everyone will stay on the beach UNTIL things change.

36 single man. my spending is like 20% my net. just because I live cheap. $14 ffxiv sub a month for entertainment funds thats it. no date, no alcohol, no nothing. once in a while switch game. I look broke. But seeimg your savings and investment go up and up just keeps you motivated. Simple math, if 20% of net = 1 month of living cost. work for 1 year you got 5 years of living cost. work for 10 years, you got 50 years of living cost. thats retirement funds done.

Kind of a Boomer take. Rather than criticizing men who have no stake in soyciety, offer solutions to the problems. Don't just sit there and blame everything on men, you're no better than CNN or MSNBC if you do that.

“Only 2 hours a week consuming porn”…that’s a long ass time
@Rexhunterj
@Rexhunterj 5 ай бұрын
24 * 7 = 168 hours. 16 * 6 = 112 hours. (The average time a human being is awake for a week.) 2 hours out of 112 is tiny, it's a fraction of your week, it's 1.8% of your week my friend. That's an average in averages. I bet you most men spend LESS time consuming it and that there are just the outliers who consume a lot of it that offset it, that's how averages work, you get a heavy ended set of data and the average moves towards the weight.
