There were two emergency vehicles hit on the interstate in my area in less than a month. One resulted in serious injury. I pray for your safety and for all emergency responders who are out helping others. God bless you all.

Most people don't realize how dangerous it is for tow truck operators out on the roadways. After almost 50 years on the road as a professional driver I still can't figure out what people won't move over. Be safe Ron.

I wouldn't trade anything in the world, for my guardian angel devices. Definitely a great product. I highly recommend them for anybody in emergency services. When working near traffic and visibitity is a must, you need them. I purchased several sets, for all the towing units where I work now. Everybody loves them. And of course, I tell them about your channel, Ron. You can never learn enough about the towing industry.

Ron, I said this a long time ago. People do not care about you or your life. They DO CARE about their tires. You need a portable sign that you can set up that reads "BROKEN GLASS AND NAILS IN RIGHT LANE. MOVE OVER NOW!" 90% of your problems will be solved. Make a sign that says LEFT that you can put over RIGHT for when you are working near the fast lane and you get the other 10 %.
@Jacksonboyeroutdoors2 сағат бұрын
I’ve said similar stuff, you need cones with spikes on the top or something, and a sign that says so, people will do anything to save their car

Those worrisome words you hear all too often: "on the side of the interstate". Always a dangerous situation. Thank God for keeping everyone safe. Job well done under stressful conditions. Stay safe and healthy.

My daughter's lost their dad to the interstate two years ago in a motorcycle accident on I-10. To top it off a DANGEROUS driver hit the pickup truck of an off duty officer who had stopped to help and the guy rolled his truck right onto the motorcycle 😓 People are I d I o t s.

Here in the UK they have made "smart" versions of our equivalent of your Interstates even worse. In certain areas where very busy they run the hard shoulders as real lanes controlled by Red X's and Arrow gantry signs. There are short breakdown bays every mile and half or so but there's no way you have enough length to match the traffic speed when rejoining the highway. You can phone National Highways to put a lane divert arrow flashing, but they hate putting a red X to actually close the lane. And even then there's no guarantee all the drivers will obey despite it being an offence with the red X lit up. Nobody cares enough about people working on recoveries.

When I was much younger one of my dad's biggest pet peeves was not putting his tools back where I found them. His other was not cleaning them off when finished. More than once I used is good claw hammer (carpenter) and left grease on it. Now, 50 years later when I finish a job in the garage I clean my tools and put them back where they belong. Thanks, Pops. He's been gone 26 years and I still miss him everyday.

I see the " professional" truck drivers not caring about fellow drivers or anyones safety. New York just passed a law that you move over for any vehicle on the side of the road.

@shed6621516 минут бұрын
Question for you Ron - I know that you are always wanting drivers to 'slow down, move over' but given the risks that are involved with working near a live road and inattentive drivers, why do you operate the under-reach from the drivers side of the truck - would it not be safer for yourself to use the one on the verge side or with the remote?
@LegendaryRadioJock3 сағат бұрын
Please see my comment on last weeks video regarding the missing subtitles on your video. The subtitling system is not working because the audio quality is not high enough when filming from your truck cab.

He needed to hold the rear spring brake released so the rear wheels would roll. Either supply air or cage all the 4 rear brakes. Air was theoretically easier.
