The South African military, in combination with the police, track and recover stolen vehicles on the SA / Mozambique border, often while you sleep.

It's not a new thing. I grew up near the border of Lesotho very close to the Caledon river. Soldiers are everywhere and they don't just take bribe. Those guys are crazy inlove with what they do. Keep it up.

No money, they barely have enough money to deploy as it is. However I do think they are well trained and most of them love their job.

Government should invest on drones that also have night vision, they can cover 10Km. The amount of drones to cover the entire border will depend on the end-to-end distance acros the border. This save the SNDF on fuel cost for their heavy duty vehicles and and only respond when the drone detect the subject silently. How dificult is that...

Why government do not build the wall to the borders separate south Africa and other African countries to make work of soldiers easy and preventing illegal immigrants to cross easy to south Africa .

As a South African I think that SADEC countries must unite, no more borders and we should have one strong army.We should become a federal state.

@@yvonnemolapo6616 Also because the borders you see today in almost all African countries were not created by us. No African participated or give permission for our borders to be the way we see them today. They were designed to divide us so that, as Africans, we should remain weak and easy to exploit. Do you think South Africa on its own can successfully defend against an invasion from a country like France, China or the US? Not a chance. I am a proudly South African but I believe we should find a way to transcend these borders we have in Africa. If united we can even be stronger in negotiating trade deals.
