I understand that difficulty. What some people say is to pick what you think you would need most whether its food or water or these kind of supplies, and just buy a small amount at a time. Sometimes they have sales at stores where you can buy canned vegetables for less than a dollar for instance and if you can even only buy one can at least you have it. Also I don't know if you are a person of Faith but if you are like me, we know that God will provide what we can't provide for ourselves. Wishing the best for you!

I'm in the same boat. Watching the hurricane Helene videos, I think food and water are too priority. I'm getting stuff I don't have to cook, like peanut butter, canned chicken, and sardines. 🙏🙏

I'm in a similar situation but when you're talking about food, besides food stamps, you can go to pantries and stock up on canned food. We have one pantry where you can go once a month near us and of course the church where you can go once a week. This will save you some money on food so you can slowly prepare for other supplies 🙏👍

One thing that is never in premade medical kits that every prepper should have is a North American Rescue Hyfin Vent Chest Seal.

I agree, but you can improvise using the wrapper from your Israeli and some tape.

@@thecementhead You can, but then you have to seal it and it won't auto-vent. That one is vented air out but not in. I've had 7 spontaneous pneumothoraxs, fixed through surgery, but knowing the process I wanted one that had a vent in the event of SHTF and no hospitals available.

DO NOT BUY BUDGET TOURNIQUETS. If you are bleeding out of your femoral or brachial artery, you need a real CAT brand tourniquet, that is not the thing to skimp on. Or do it and think about the $8 you saved as you die from shock caused by blood loss.
