4 Easy Meal Ideas for Work/School Burak’s Noodle Servings: 1 Difficulty: Easy Cooking time: 3 minutes Prep time: 5 minutes 70 g instant noodles, 1 small pack 1 clove of garlic 1,5 cups boiling water 1 carrot, halved and sliced 5-6 leaves lettuce, sliced 1 teaspoon pepper paste or salsa sauce 3-4 tablespoons soy sauce 5 tablespoons sunflower or olive oil 2 eggs 1 tablespoon sesame seeds • Empty instant noodles into 1,5 cups of briskly boiling water and simmer for 3 minutes with a clove of garlic. • Mix soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sunflower oil, pepper paste and the cooked garlic in a bowl. • Separate half of the mixture that you prepared then crack 2 eggs into the other half and beat them. • Heat 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil in a non-stick pan, pour the egg mixture into the pan. With using a spatula, gently pull the eggs from the edges of the pan into the centre. Turn and tilt the pan so the runny eggs take up the available space and again gently pull it towards the centre. This gentle pulling towards the centre of the pan makes lovely, light ribbons of egg. • Pour noodles with cooking water in a plate, place the carrots, lettuce, sauce on sides and scrambled eggs on centre. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on your plate and it’s ready! • If you want to prepare your meal to go, take a jar, put the sauce on the bottom, noodles on top of the sauce, then carrots, lettuce, eggs and sesame in order. Close the lid of the jar. Shake the jar when you want to eat. • If you want to eat as a soup, add 1 cup of boiling water and enjoy! Furkan’s Chicken Wrap Servings: 1-2 Difficulty: Easy Cooking time: 5 minutes Prep time: 10 minutes 1 tortilla bread 3 tablespoons couscous, any small pasta works great 1 tablespoon pomegranate molasses 1 levelled teaspoon isot pepper (or any hot red pepper flakes) 1,5 cups water 1 teaspoon olive oil 1 cucumber, thinly sliced ¼ sweet red pepper, chopped or bell pepper 2 tablespoons mayonnaise 2 slices of cheddar cheese 1 pinch salt 1 pinch black pepper 60 g chicken doner or breast, you can watch our homemade doner recipe from here; kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHapZGhqiNWGrsk or use chicken meat if you like to • In a small saucepan boil couscous until they get soften with pomegranate molasses, water and isot. • Heat olive oil in a pan, sauté the chicken doner with a pinch of salt and black pepper. • Put the tortilla bread on the counter, spread the mayonnaise, place the boiled couscous, cucumber, capia peppers, chicken doner and cheddar cheese. Close the right and left edges and wrap them like a burrito. • Heat on a pan until cheese melts for 4-5 minutes. Öykü’s Fit Granola Tart Servings: 6-8 Difficulty: Easy Cooking time: 5 minutes Prep time: 5 minutes + 2-3 hours resting in fridge 1 cup oatmeal ½ cup peanut 2-2,5 tablespoon any kind of molasses (you can use apple syrup, honey, maple syrup as replacement) 1 cup of frozen berries 1 tablespoon honey 200 g bitter chocolate • Place a bowl over a pot of simmering water. The bowl should not touch the surface of the water at all. Cut the chocolate into small pieces and place in the bowl. Stir with a spatula and let it melt. You can use a kettle and a bowl for this as well. • To prepare the base, place oatmeal and peanuts in a food processor, pulse for 3-4 seconds. Roast them in a large pan until golden brown, add molasses and mix with a wooden spoon. • Put silicon or muffin cake paper cups into a 12 holes muffin tray. Share out the base into the cups, press them with back of the spoon and let them rest. • Melt frozen berries in a small saucepan. Then turn the heat off. Add honey and mash with a fork. • Share out the berry mixture onto the bases and cover them with melted chocolate. Your 159 kcal fit granola tarts are ready after 2 hours fridge resting. Enjoy! Adile’s Abundant Meal Servings: 3-4 Difficulty: Easy Cooking time: 10 minutes Prep time: 20 minutes 2 tablespoons sunflower oil 50 g beef sucuk (or any kind of cured meat), diced 1 onion, chopped 1 heaped tablespoon tomato paste 2 small carrots, diced 5 medium size potates, diced 1 cup frozen peas, 100 g 1 teaspoon salt 1 pinch black pepper 1 pinch red pepper flakes For toasted wrap; 1 tortilla bread 50 g kashar cheese, grated any melting cheese works great 1 pickled cucumber, sliced For the soup; 3 tablespoons plain savoury yogurt 1 egg yolk 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon dry mint 4 cups water • Heat the sunflower oil in a pot, add sucuk and sear until it gives a nice smell. Add onions and continue searing. • When the onions are transparent add tomato paste into the pot and mix. • Add carrots, potatoes, and stir. • Add peas, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes and stir. • Pour enough water to cover the ingredients, mix them and the lid on. Simmer for 15 minutes until cooked. • For the toasted wrap version of this meal, put tortilla bread on your counter, sprinkle half of the kashar cheese, add 1 fulfilled ladle strained meal, put pickles, sprinkle other half of the kashar cheese and wrap it well. Put your wrap in panini presser. Heat until golden brown. • To make the soup from the leftover, whisk yogurt, egg yolk, flour in a bowl. Add water to the leftover pot and let it to boil. When it’s hot enough, slowly add a few spoons of the soup’s water to the yogurt and egg mixture. Stir well and pour it in the pot. Add mint and salt if needed, cook until it starts to boil. • Your meal, toasted wrap and soup are ready from 1 meal for three days!

I agree. Even though I don't think of myself as a "senior", given I'll be 69 in 6 weeks, I guess I am. Tasty, small portion meal ideas would be great! Especially for breakfast or a mid-day meal.

How awesome to see the ramen noodles used without the small seasoning packet! The ingredients in those packets sometimes read like chemistry homework. I would love to see more recipes to flavour the instant noodles if you have time and inclination. Thanks to the team for their recipes. At first I thought the burrito was made with lentils. How interesting to make it with couscous!

I like Adile's three stage meal the best. When I'm cooking for one, making a larger batch saves effort and works better with food portions from the grocery store. Having a few different things to do with that batch keeps it interesting over the next days!

Maybe it's a cliche, but as a German, I fell in love with the potatoes. 😂 But I am absolutely sure that I will try all those awesome ideas - thank you to the whole team. If you have some ideas for dry mixes which can be prepared by adding boiling water (like couscous with herbs, spices, dried tomatoes,... ) that would be awesome for some hectic days. 🎉 All the best for you and your team. 🌷

I love all your videos so much. I have learned to make so many dishes after watching your videos. You have the best screen energy and your team is also so fun to watch/ I especially loved this one where you took on the challenge of finding budget friendly, fast and delicious meals almost anyone can make. You mentioned you are up for another food challenge. I wondered if you can come up with 3 dinner meals that begin with the shopping list for all 3 meals, Then, after making the first meal, you have leftovers that rollover into the 2nd meal (of course adding some new ingredients from the shopping list, and then the same for the last meal (using leftovers from the 2nd meal plus more ingredients from the shopping list. I thought its a great way to simplify dinners and the dinner rush and also have some of the ingredients prepped/cooked from the meal the night before. I think some people would like this for 5 meals for each night of the week, but I'd be so happy if you could do this for only 3 dinners per week. Its kind of like rollover dinners, because some items roll over to the next meal. If you can incorporate vegetarian options too, I'd be super grateful. Thank you so much.

Fantastic budget friendly recipes. I wish we had grape molasses here in Canada. I tasted it once at a Turkish restaurant that used to import some, but that restaurant has since moved to the countryside.😢 It was made with grape must and wasn’t overly sweet. I love pomegranate molasses, but it tends to crystallize in the bottle if you keep it too long. I always love your videos.
