Provincial Russia is notorious for low income, bad roads, excessive drinking, gopniks and many more stereotypes. Potentially economic sanctions against Russia could make life of people even worse, with only 250$ of monthly state pension and increasing prices, how can the majority of Russian population survive?
This time I tried to show Russia from a probably unknown for you angle, spending 3 days in provincial city of Engels to share life I saw with my own eyes.

@@zonachristian9746 there are over 200 countries in the world and it's not practical for him to show all currencies and values but the US dollar most people can relate their currency to this. You understand he's trying to show people the relative prices because he's trying to communicate. It's useful for viewers to have this too relate to. After you comments about your mothers and grandmothers generally not liking to eat out, I remembered my own grandmother saying that eating at a restaurant is not as good as home cooked. She would say, "You never know what they do with the food, maybe they spit in it or drop it on the floor." She lived on a farm in Washington state and then a small town in Idaho.

In 1941 the SwiSS gave Hitler 1 billion SwiSS Francs for operation Barbarossa for the Nazi genocide on the Russian and Ukrainian people; SwiSSyland was founded by the Knights Templars in 1291, who became the Nazi-Templars in 1923. The powers behind WWII are in the film "The Swiss Beast - Home of the Devil; Part 1 the Nazi-Templars" and in the film "The Nobility Worldwars" on channel Giureh. You may translate these videos into Russian or Ukrainian with Russian or Ukrainian subtitles and reupload them on the internet, because these videos are the present to humanity in its battle against the Nazi-Templars, who rule the whole world today. Please someone translate this video into Russian and into Ukrainian, and the intel of the video might stop this senseless Ukraine war; if not, then both Russia and the Ukraine will be destroyed, because of the political agenda of the global enemy within, with which they want to destroy peoples. Putin is a Swiss sleeper agent; watch KZbin video "Ukraine War: Made in Switzerland" and video "Black Prince of P-russia & Pharaoh's Peoples Product - PPP" both on KZbin channel Giureh. Watching your video from the US, I want to say that I have great respect for the Russian people, their heartiness, resilience, groundedness, and genuine joy for life. I love your country even though I have never been there, but watched hundreds of documentaries on Russia, and more often than not what we get spoonfed here in the US about your country is a megaload of BS and lies. We're all people living on the same planet, breathing the same air, having the same needs, and in our hearts are all united, regardless of politics and the shots that the elite call. You're making excellent videos, portraying your country and its people in a way that is much of a joy to watch, and also learn! Unbiased, firsthand experiences is what we need, not censored and regulated propaganda. So thank you for your wonderful work, and keep it up!

thats your CIA funded MSM for you. When USSR gets rockets in Cuba MSM starts screaming OMGOGMG they will attack US ,but when NATO (created to fight USSR which no longer exists) puts NUKES not just rockets next to Russia its not ok for Russia to defend itself because the MSM funded by CIA and WEF said so. As an ex romanian living in US I gotta say that this IS a good reason for Russia to defend itself even if that means nuclear war and end life on Earth. Totally agree. Most countries have citizens who only want to live in peace and love, but who, due to political leadership in their own or other countries, have to live in an unstable society. The ordinary Russian does not want war, but in the long run will feel the sanctions on his body because of what is happening now. in the same way that we in Norway have high prices on fuel and energy due to the war.

@@cyberfunk3793 Most people do not want war. I was not alone in thinking about the Ukraine war. More generally on war. For ordinary Russians, they do not have access to a free and independent press. They are being fed misinformation by the Kremlin-controlled media. If you as a citizen are constantly given misinformation - such as that your own country may be attacked, you will possibly be tricked into believing that war is right. What I was trying to say is that people generally want to live in peace.

In Ukraine each town and village has there outdoor markets on a Sunday. Whenever I am visiting my partners grandparents, I love wondering around and getting the vegetables, meat etc. Even in Dnipro we do a big fresh produce / meat shop at one of the two big fresh produce markets on a Saturday. You get to know the vendors, and they know, we only buy fresh, good, chemical free food and meats as the kids, ate hyper allergenic and it's amazing how honest they all are. I imagine Russian provincial life is no different

@@NightmareLorelej There we go 🙂. And we have our market here in our small town of 10000 inhabitants on Friday‘s where people can go and buy all these things fresh. And one of my neighbours was until 1 hour ago actually loading his sales waggon for to go to market. Throughout the week he travels with his sales waggon to 4 different local fresh markets in our area. But I must admit I haven’t been to the market in 20 years or so …. I am to lazy I guess 😅. Haha, another thing I haven’t done in a long time (40 years?) is going by bus to the city 😅. But with my car being ruined by a HGW lorry (sliced the entire driver’s side open while it was parked outside a friends house) awaiting either repair or written off status from the insurance I thought I buy a 9€ ticket valid for a month to get me about using public transport. I could travel the country 24/7 by train (except the high speed trains), busses, trams, subways, any sort of public transport except aircraft. The bus ride to the city was comfortable and done in 25 minutes. Going by car would have taken just as long. But on the busses face mask are mandatory and that’s good to see.

@@olenatomkevych5433 correct me if i'm wrong but OHCHR ''only'' confirmed 6k Civilians have died in this conflict so far, the Usa was involved in so many wars that killed hundreds of thousand of civilians and the west is currently helping Saudi arabia in it's war in Yemen which already cost the lives of 150.000 people and according to Safe the Children, 85.000 children died of Starvation. Are Americans and Westerners brutal aswell then? Don't be hipocritical. The Usa is still bullying Cuba because Cuba dared to not be a client state of the Hegemonic Usa, if you're a small country next to a powerful one you have to be careful how you operate, the same way the Usa is punishing Cuba for making the wrong choices according to the Usa, the same way Russia is punishing Ukraine for making the wrong choices according to Russia. Politicians in Kiev made one mistake after another starting with removing the president in 2014 from his position, naively thinking (or rather hoping) Russia would just let it slide and let Ukraine become part of the West, including Nato and EU or let Kiev bomb the populations to death in the separatist regions in Donbas. Don't get me wrong, it's sad that the war is going on, but it's much more complex than painting Russia as the evil while acting like Ukraine is innocent and pure.

Thank you very much for this informative and interesting video which focuses on the current economic situation in Russia. I think that pensioners, on the whole, have a different vision of life, as they do not buy just to consume like the younger generations, but as they made a lot of sacrifices to get their pensions, they are very careful not to waste this "treasure", trying to survive and even saving some money and this is the example that we should follow during times of crisis.

Your experience is mostly in line with friends I know, and why some parts of the provinces can be a little run down and neglected, not all of them are. And how much do you really need to have a happy, healthy childhood anyway? Eli did a video on some of the forgotten cities in Russia and that was quite sad and moving, but it was also inevitable in some respects. Nothing really lasts for ever and as industry and work changes so do cities and towns. I know from my own life that we lost the local shows, the local produce, and it all got consolidated to chains of supermarkets. I only wish I could find a greengrocer, a butcher and a baker still. But now they have all but disappeared. Thank you for sharing your experiences and your lovely family, Zak. I look forward to more honest reporting from Russia.
