Life Update (August 5th, 2021)

I know it's hard for some people to understand the love we can feel for an animal, but please know that you are not alone in feeling this way. I have two older cats, one of which was recently diagnosed with a slow moving cancer. I think it was really hard for my family and friends to understand how and why I was so devastated about it. I say this to say to you that I understand this loss you feel for your kitty, and I am so so sorry that you and your husband and other cats are going through this loss. Please take all the time you need to post a new video. Know that you gave him 15 wonderful years of life and love, and that you did everything right for him. I will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers as you heal through this time.

I’m so very sorry and send you all the love in the world. I lost my Humphrey cat in January, so I can definitely relate and have empathy. As a vet nurse for 18 years I see this heartbreak every day and it never gets easier. I just see it as evidence of how much of a wonderful impact and blessing these animals are in the short time we have them xx

Oh, I'm so so sorry, Sarah. My heart breaks for you and I'm in tears with you. I know it's the hardest decision to make, but I hope you know you did the right thing for him. I promise you that he knew it--animals understand when it's their time, but they so often need our help so they can go. I had to help my kitty Zoe over the rainbow bridge last fall, and I still miss her every day, even though I do now have a new furbaby who I adore. It was just a few weeks shy of 13 years together for us, so I can sympathize so deeply with your pain. But it was your last act of deep love and devotion to him, and I know right now it's nothing but pain, but I promise it does slowly lessen. Sending lots of love your way, dear 💜💜💜

Very sorry to hear about your loss. I have two furbabies. One will be turning 16 in the fall and is dealing with the beginnings of kidney disease and the second will be turning 10. He's pretty healthy so far. Thank heavens. I dread their getting older and suffering, so I know how you feel.

heartbreaking I am VERY sorry to hear this. I completely understand and know what you are feeling it is the hardest thing ever. Those of us who never had children really feel like they are our fur babies...I am so sorry Sarah. I lost mine this year too and its so hard....I still months later think I see my little stinky sitting or laying in his favorite spots and have to do a double take...bless your heart. This is so heartbreaking. Even though you love all your babies, every time you said his name, your voice would just change. I'll miss his presence in your videos, but if you can, you should take comfort from the fact that you did everything right. Forcing him to stay would have been a betrayal.

Sarah, I’m so sorry. Two years ago I had to make the painful decision to put my cat Mo to sleep. He’d been sick for a few months before finally being diagnosed with a severe form of jaw cancer. For the last few days of his life, he wanted to eat so badly but it was just too painful. After three days of blending different kinds of foods and forcing pain pills down his throat, I knew I had to let him go. Taking him to the vet and holding him in my arms as he took his final breath was one of the most heartbreaking moments of my life. He wasn’t just a pet to me either. He was my little companion and my fur baby with the funniest little cry. I know what you’re going through right now. 💜

It’s so hard and I know how it feels. But you did the right thing, though it was hard. I could relate so much - my cat was 18, but you should just let youself cry and grieve and take the break you need. It’s hard to smile and laugh in this situation. ❤️😻

Sarah I know how you feel because last year we had to put our little Papion down because her heart murmur got real bad it was the day after Christmas that my grandson had to make that choice. I cried for days and I'm crying now for you.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I had a similar situation with losing my little girl cat suddenly last year. It was the right thing to do for him, no matter what you couldn't have done more than you did. Sometimes you just don't realize what's happening and it's heartbreaking. You did right by him and I'm sure he's glad not to be suffering anymore. :) We will all see them again one day, I have no doubts. Stay strong.
