Thank you for being that “Internet big sister” who taught so many of us how to do makeup. Since you’ve given me advice all these years, here’s my little nugget that I learned last year that helped me find my passion. Do what makes you smile - whatever it is that you’d do if you could do anything you wanted. The most incredible things start happening when you stop overthinking and just do what makes you happy. If we’re talking KZbin videos, for me, that meant making pink unicorn popcorn. Before that I used those little L’Oréal color matching liquid foundations from your OG face contouring tutorial. And the Mac paint pearl cream base with silver dusk powder on top for highlight? Still use them to this day even though I think they’re discontinued. And the unpetroleum jelly. And I think you were the one who recommended Alba Botanica toner, which is even on my Amazon subscription list. And then I’ve went on and recommended so many of these, too. 😳 Crazy to think about! Whatever you have in store next, you’ve got your giant family of lil sisters and brothers here behind you. ✨

I remeber when your dad died. I remeber watching the video and crying with you. My dad (at that time) had passed away 4 years before that. And it was like reliving it through your video. Three months before my sister in law died. We lost two of the most amazing people in my family within months of each other. That pain is unreal. Loss is so hard to get past. You are the first KZbinr I watched. Self tanning, skin care routine, just knowing how to do my make up... you got me through my teenage years. As simple as it may be I’ll always hold her favorite youtubers dear to me as it helped her get through the toughest of times. 5 years ago which feels like yesterday my sister passed away at 24 a day before she turned 25. I’m 24 now and since she’s been gone i always tune in and developed love for the KZbin beauty community just to feel close to her. I'm so glad I found your channel again because watching this life update reminded me of why I had subscribed to you way back when you first started. You truly area a beautiful person inside and out. I can totally relate to you, and I think many people feel the same. You are a light in this world, and watching your videos puts sunshine in my day. I'm so sorry for the loss you've endured. Seeing your clips of your precious grandma and hearing the stories about what you've gone through makes it clear why you are the sweet soul you are. The people we've lost leave a lasting impression and it's obvious that you've had wonderful influences in your life. If you believe in heaven one of my favorite quotes is by Pastor John Hagee, "The last breath you breathe on Earth is the first breath you'll breathe in eternity. You will never be more alive than you are in eternity if you spend it with God." This helps me when I think about the loved ones (family, friends, and pets) that I've lost and gives me hope that I will be with them again someday in a perfect place.

You take your time when you are ready to come back - you could make little videos about the people you loved in your life but are no longer with us. These could be honourable tributes to them and be good for you and others to remember the memories. I did the same for my late father and a very good friend (both of whom died within 4 months of eachother). 10 years later I still watch them on my Facebook page, my friend’s daughter loves seeing them every time she needs a pickup of smiles and for my family they enjoy seeing my father’s pics. It’s a form of grieving. You are wonderful and appreciated every video you did xxx

Hi Kandee, I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am to hear of your losses and your struggles with your health. I’m so glad you’re feeling better. Remember that life is not a sprint, it’s a long marathon, and to have the endurance, you must pause occasionally and take a rest.
