I love your heart! 💕 I moved to Bookshark for the same reasons as you. I love how you explained everything. It sounds like you have such a full plate. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Great explanation. We are also church attenders who use only secular curriculum for a variety of reasons, some of which you touched on here. You've got a lot on your plate right now, best wishes with everything!

Stumbled onto this video searching for Bookshark Reviews. I’ve also used Sonlight with my older kids years ago, and I could not agree more ! Thank you ! And what a great book by Rick Joyner ! And yes this topic should be a separate video , go for it ! 😊

I’m so glad! It really does shift the perspective, not only of God, but also of ourselves. I’ve found it so freeing. 🤗

This is very interesting to me/ I do sonlight and answers in Genesis and I couldn’t articulate those same thoughts. It seems you have also had a dose of performance Christianity in your upbringing too? I feel like this was such a product of being raised in the 80’s and I wonder how much of it I’ve passed down and often, sinfully so trying to make sure my kids don’t repeat the sins of their dad. I’m ashamed to say that. I also heard you say Rick Joyner and so I wonder if our foundations are similar. This gives me a lot to chew on.

Thank you so much for sharing. I listened really attentively to what you said about God, good god vs wrathful God, about not presenting it from the angle of we are sinners, do this, do that. But in many stories in the Bible, he is a ‘jealous God,’ exodus 34 v 14, when I think of Moses, what a man, but my little boy and I both thought wow that was tough, he didn’t get to go into the promised land. I feel the reality to me is that God is loving, full of grace, power, wrathful and jealous God, all those things. I also liked and really admired what you said about adding in your own input to bible. I don’t know where I would start on that. The Bible is full of all the angles of God. I would be really interested to learn more about your faith, or denomination and what you use for bible. Thank you again for sharing x

I love, love, love your explanation of your relationship with God and added the book to my Thriftbooks cart! What type of church do you attend? So many in the Deep South are focused on an angry God and horribly sinful people.

And many focus too much on the happy parts. You should look at how many "Christians" don't believe in Satan and Hell. I'm not advocating for fire and brimstone preaching, but skipping through a meadow of daisies ain't Biblical.

I hope you publish the children’s church curriculum you write. I definitely see children’s curriculum the same way.
