Similarly my mom was frustrated with my grandpa when he was talking to us grandkids and she said ‘dad, stop talking like you’re dying’ in a joking manner and he passed the next day. I’m so thankful he got to say those things and I think sometimes you can tell those things. You did incredible through this whole situation.

Such a good point Gabi. i lost my father and thats exactly how i felt. I used the bad times to work through my grief, while the not so bad time gave me a respite from the sorrow.😥

My heart goes out to you! I know the pain of losing a father. I was 5000 miles away when my dad went. And it broke my heart to not be able to be there. Especially since he died 2 weeks after we found out I was finally pregnant after years of trying, and my babies due date was my big brother (who died in a car accident) birthday. So, I'm grateful your dad got to see your sisters and his grandbabies. It does make a difference. My grandfather passed the day after me and my mom flew up to see him when we knew it was near the end. They know, and they hang on for something or something, and then they feel it's okay to go. Everyone grieves differently, and if working is helping you process your grief, then you do you. I wish you the best of luck with your goals! And I love your travel + book channel idea. :) Go for it! Hang in there babe!

I lost my dad when I was 17 to a long and terrible battle to cancer, and now 7 years later I still can't talk about it. Losing a parent is so hard and its sucks so much. This video is so brave. I am sorry for your loss.

Your dad is the awesomest cowboy there is. I'm so sorry for the burden that you are having to bear right now. We all grieve in different ways and, as you stated, there is no right or wrong way to grieve. We're allowed to feel many things at once and your grief and anger are understandable and justified just as the joy you take in your channel. I am deeply sorry that the very people who were supposed to be helping your dad let you guys down. That is just...not ok. Your resolve, however, is inspiring. I'm so sorry! I'm taking care of my bedridden grandfather now and you were so blessed to have gotten the chance to spend time caring for him! My heart goes out to you truly! I'm setting a reminder to watch this video once a week to make more money to give to the children. I'm sure your father is so proud of you and your selflessness. It isn't easy being the caretaker of a family member it's a thankless job most of the time and in my line of work I see family members refuse to do it all the time (im an in home nurse). So far this year I've had two patients be put into nursing homes when they weren't bad enough to need to be in a nursing home because family members wanted to sell their parents houses and didn't want to spend the time and effort to care for their parent. It's so so common to see family members dump their "loved one" off in a nursing home the first opportunity they get. My own mother being one of those people unfortunately. Your father was truly as blessed to have you as you were to have had him. My condolences, truly ❤️

I also lost my grandfather during this time and I was moving across the country at the time and didn't get to be with him or family so I am so glad that you and yours were able to. People have no right to judge how you grieve and I am fairly similar as far as working around grief, so it was nice knowing someone else does that. Also I love the idea of travel vlogs. I love roadtrips.

Oh Elliot, I´m so sorry for your loss. Just earlier this week I thought about you and your father. I feel that, with this pandemic, and not dismissing its seriousness, a lot of life-threatening conditions are behind left untreated or not taken as seriously. And with the visitations being forbidden in hospitals, many are suffering alone and passing without saying goodbye. At least he died among loved ones and he had your care when he needed. Grieve however you can, everyone is different. Take care.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've lost my mom when I was 29 (she was 58) and it was so suddenly (she also had fluid in her lungs). She's been gone for almost 5 years now and i still cry when I found something she wrote for me or hearing her Whatsapp audios and stuff. He'll always be with you, even if he's not physically there.
