When my grandfather passed away, I did almost the same thing. I drove to a spot above the ranch he grew up on, and sat on a ridge looking over a beautiful valley stretching away north over the Wyoming state line. I spent most of the day remembering all the good things in our lives together. When my mother was pregnant with me, he said he hoped I would be a red-headed girl. Just like my grandmother, and my daughter. One day visiting him, I looked around and smiled, "You sly old man, did you ever think that you'd marry a red-head, and wind up with three of us!?"

Oh Honey, I'm just so sorry you had to find out about something like that the way you did. *huggggs* I'm glad you are living for yourself while you are young enough to enjoy the adventures! I did the same, even though I was judged for it and for not having a typical lifestyle with like 2 kids and a minivan. I have a minivan but it's for my dogs, by my own choice and at 55 now I have 0 regrets and only am grateful for the childfree, dog/horse filled life I've led so far, even with hardships. Live for yourself (while harming nothing and no-one as you do now, of course) and you cannot go wrong as it's your life receipts you will look through at the end of the day, nobody else's! ❤

When your battery is dead and you jump start the engine your alternator goes into peak charge supplying the most amount of amperage possible.... Takes a lot of power for the belt to spin the alternator at peak charge.... Let it idle even if the belt is squealing it will catch up shortly..... Sorry to hear of your grandfather passing... My grandfather passed two years ago and it was very hard for me as well..... Grandpa's are the best.....mine taught me about mechanics as he was the head mechanic for Pacific Bell for 30+ years..... Cherish your memories
