Patrice Y Simmons It just depends on the individual I guess. Not that women shouldn’t be self sufficient, but I just notice a lot of women who settle for this are working extra hard because someone told that man he should be taken care of by her too. I mean I get it, help each other...I just noticed that some men who assume this 50/50 stance are more than willing to take from women. Eventually she’s going to get tired of it. Idk what the process is. I just fell out of love and ended up with someone I felt far more secure with.

So, stay away from women who encourage you to "give a brotha a chance", "work with him", or say "Oh, he just needs a good woman". They don't want to see you succeed. I’ve lived this!!!!!!! It’s a mans duty to provide and when they can’t, they can get very abusive, emotionally and physically. It typically never ends well for the woman or man. There is a sense of enablement that men actually resent when you help them financially. Ladies, do not give men money, even your sons. Make them work for it and earn it, it gives them a sense of pride and accomplishment.

I married a provider... I try to tell women all the time... when men go 50/50 it's because they want a ROOMMATE with benefits and not a wife. These women get highly upset when you tell them this truth. 50/50 men should just go get a buddy to split the bills with. A man's duty is to PROVIDE though. The Bible says that a man who does not provide for his family is WORST than an infidel. I understand there are times when a woman will need to help out financially, but if he has her paying the major bills... working and doing that 50/50 stuff he is using her financially. The Proverbs 31 wife for example, is a woman who does earn income. But her income is used to buy smaller items, she is NOT the provider. The Husband actually hires servants for his wife and caretakers to help the wife with her daily duties. I am in a black Couples group and these men were asking why women seem to not like sex as much as men. Many of the black women responded by saying they are often tired from having to work, clean, look after children... etc. A husband's duty is to actually provide the wife with everything she needs to be mentally healthy and physically healthy. The 50/50 wife is WORN out by all the daily duties... and has no time to please a man sexually... and these men still don't get it. I always say that if a man can't afford a wife and children he should focus on his own health and wealth creation before committing to a marriage. But black women have attacked me often for saying this. It's unreal.

Y’all have to understand that just because a woman wants to go half n half with her man that there is nothing wrong with it. Everyone have different views when it comes to a topic like this. Just because you don’t like it or think it’s right doesn’t mean y’all have to judge or bash them or talk shit about the guy because it’s beyond unnecessary. What works in your relationship may not work for others, but work for some. There are a lot of relationships who does half n half and are still going strong until this day. First of all, how do you women go on a date with a man and you agree to pay 50\50, it is beyond me. I actually struggle to believe such men exist, I am yet to meet one. Most men I know will pay for the entire date. Also never feel bad for leaving a broke man. Being dumped by a woman is one of the best wake up call that made some men successful today. When you see him tomorrow all successful, taking his new boo to fancy restaurants, don't feel bad and guilt trip yourself thinking you weren't patient with him. Nope, he will have remained broke if you had remained with him. As for the new boo reaping the benefits. Don't worry, you will reap the benefits of another woman. Meanwhile, this platrom is good for men too, some of the things Chloe talks about send chills down my spine. It is good to hear things that will challenge you.

As a black woman who watched my cousin date because I don’t date black Men no more. Times are different and a Man will take you out pay for my and basically want something like sex in return. So for some of us Woman like me who will pay for my on food on a first date isn’t because I don’t think he broke or to show I’m willing to go 50/50 it’s because it’s a first date I want to see how you engage with me. I don’t want a guy only taking me out just because he think the more money he spends the more of my body he will get. I don’t mind it because I feel like most pl aren’t dating to get to know one another anyways. I think first date should be something that doesn’t cost and if the Man sees potential in his commitment to you than I think him paying for dates is cool. Too many ppl are damaged and too many men have come my way and try to say oh I’m tired of paying for dates becuase Woman don’t be helping with bills or etc. literally had a dude tell me if I didn’t prove to him by helping with his finances I wasn’t all in. So why didn't he tell me before moving to a foreign country for his purpose? Why didn't he support me into getting a Bachelors degree if that was the problem? You men are not pure and I can't look at you the same way I did in the past. I also changed my mind about gold diggers.. They know their value and trade it. Fair enough. All the Red Pill and MGTOW movements are just broke men out of the dating market, mostly in the Feminine energy that want Women for free because they can't afford them. He pays for everything when we are together, carry’s my bags, reminds me that I’m beautiful every chance he gets and opens the door on muscle memory. When we first started dating, we were out with a group of friends and I went to pay for. a $4 taco and he couldn’t let me. It was such a change from what I’m used to seeing and I thank God that even if this man doesn’t become my husband that I have had the opportunity to be treated how I deserve and to have first hand experience to say that good men exist. No more settling ladies! But in order to make sure we don’t settle, we have to know our value and be the high value woman that a man would gladly provide for and protect.

I left my husband two years ago and have been flourishing ever since I realized my value💖🌹♥! I lost 110 lbs in one year, I have a new car, a thriving career, and my son and I just moved into a really nice apartment🌺! My mindset about femininity, men, and hypergamy has shifted and I'm so grateful that I'm on this journey of self-love💯! I was a caterpillar for sooooooo long waiting to turn into a butterfly🦋!

Just learned this! I’m 25 and my ex of 1.3 years is a 25 year old med student. I went 50/50 because he’s in school and doesn’t have an income. Two of my friends urged me not to do it and that if a man wants to date me he should be able to provide. Sis, 8 months in I started to resent him and my respect was going out the door. We broke up a month ago because he has no clear plans for this relationship and basically needs more time to know if I’m “the one”. Smh. Never again but I’m happy for the experience.

I agree with most of this video however just because you’re not 50/50 doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have your own money and enough money to provide for yourself because when you depend 100% on a man, that man and his ego will try to control you. Money is power and not having any as a woman in this society means not having a lot of personal power. Let a man provide but also have the ability to provide for yourself.

THIS maybe off the beaten path but I have one thing to say remember Betty Broderick. SHE Worked alongside of her husband, sacrificed herself and let her let her looks go. After helping her husband build a successful Medical Practice he takes up with a woman who look like a younger Betty Broderick who had not helped him build his practice and then left his wife. This may be an extreme example but it's a cautionary tale be careful.
