The fact that he is so content in his carrier is honestly a miracle, most puppies would constantly try to jump out, that's great for you!

we have 4 dogs (two small two large), I just wanted to give some tips in case you don't already know, when you're training a puppy use short commands like "No" and "stop" they will associate your negative tone with that action (same with positive commands)using too many words at first will confuse them, also when you're telling him to sit, hold your hand with the treat over his head so he'll sit and of he doesn't sit, push his butt down so he knows what sit means, hopefully that helps, he's such a little cutie!

Awesome vid! Pierre is such a little cutie! If you're ever looking for more things/treats for him to chew on if he's teething a lot: try sticking a full carrot in the freezer! My dogs love them!

When your and out I always get a few of the dollar rope toys and maybe Pierre will be motivated to run a little. Little can sit already is so adorable 🐶. Now I need a puppy

Awesome shopping trip!! My experience: with brushes/combs, the one you bought is great for his coat now, but as he feathers out and his coat grows, you will need a double sided comb. This is an aMAZing tool to get that undercoat thinned out, as well as really handy should fleas 😬hitch a ride. I have used the Kong ever since my pups were little, and crate trained them just as you've done. Now when they see me getting ready to leave the house, they hop in their kennel and wait for there Kong toys stuffed with a blob of PB! They are avid chewers, so I graduated from the red to the black Kong. Extremely durable. Last, I believe that although they loved the antlers, they ended up cracking (and losing) a few molars. IMHO they aren't good for strong chewers with tiny teeth! Love your videos!! 😍

Have u tried a snuggle puppy? They are awesome for the crate. I purchased them for my dogs as puppies & they loved as pups. They have heartbeats & heat packs to mimic a sibling.

You should try ice chips! Also, frozen rag strips are a good puppy toy :) and maybe you should get a puppy sling for when he wants to be held but you need your hands free

Puppy slings are a great idea - Oliver was constantly under my feet when I was in the kitchen!! Got the sling, threw him in and voila! No more trip hazard 😊 He was small enough (and his coat short enough) that no hair was flying around as I prepared food.

I’m surprised Pierre did not get motion sickness with being moved around and woken up after the car ride. This type of breed is known to wanting constant cuddling. It is good though you’re getting him out of the house so that he does not develop anxiety. Pet owners often forget especially for those who work at home that it’s only natural the anxiety builds up when one leaves the house.

Mini dachshunds are great dogs. It's tempting not to train them as well as bigger dogs because if they don't listen you can always pick them up and make them listen. In the long run it's better to keep up with the training. Just a thought! Speaking of chewing our female dachshund chewed the corners off of every corner of our couch pillows. She all chewed our son's high school diploma. The puppy years just like the toddler years won't last for ever.

I like to thrift in the dishes/ glass section for bowls for my pets. I usually don't love the options in the pet section. Or buy single pieces at target in the dishware section. How big is puppy supposed to get? Are you going to be able to carry him in your bag when he's full size?

I think because he’s so small and is asleep most people don’t mind! But probably when he’s bigger we won’t take him so many places! But it’s been good practice for him while he’s so young!
