To teach little ones throwing tandums in public isn't acceptable give them a time out right away when they are acting out. If you wait til you get home to give the time out little ones don't understand why you disipline them hours later. Most effective at time of inappropriate behavior. I studied this in college.

I feel like I'm going to get eaten alive for saying this, ***Disclaimer*** we're a family from South America and people believe in spankings down there. I have a 2 year old and a newborn, my 2 yo started to act the same way, being out with her became IMPOSSIBLE...so i started to give her a little spank regardless of what people think .. she learned fast and she behaves when we're out now.
@ajbudgets6116 жыл бұрын
Don’t even worry about it! I was spanked as a kid and nothing bad came out of it! It taught me real fast to respect my parents and to listen! :)
@ashleyniebla3846 жыл бұрын
There's absolutely nothing wrong with giving your child a spanking when they are misbehaving. I used to get spanked a lot when I was younger.

I never had to spank my child, but I also never put up with bad behavior. If I would have needed to give her butt a little swat, I would have.

When she acts like that she should get a consequence right away. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked out to the car and my kids sat in their seat, screaming, while I stood outside. It will feel like you are being cruel to her but trust me, if you let her get away with this stuff, it will get so bad that you won’t be able to go into public at all. She runs the house, you need to be the alpha. You are the boss.

When my kids throw tantrums i stand very firm on what I say cause if I let do whatever they want then they grow thinking they can control me. I rather they have a tantrum on the stroller than a tantrum around the store

2-3 is really the age where kids throw tantrums. They’re just learning how to identify their emotions, and don’t know how to regulate those emotions yet. It’s tough but it’s developmentally normal 😅 stay strong mama you’re doing a great job! 🤗

If she ever has a tantrum at home just walk away from her and just let her do that cuz she will learn that when she has tantrums her mom doesn’t care, she just walks away. That’s what I do when I babysit. Just walk away from them when they have a tantrum.

My daughter does the same I’m not sure if it’s a stage she’s going thru. Loves being in the tub playing with water and making a mess but when it’s time for soap and to wash her hair forget it. She actually tells me a get out so I can take her out. Hopefully it’s a phase they are going thru my daughters 2.
@haileybeebee976 жыл бұрын
Just start using her backpack everywhere you go. It gives her the freedom of walking on her own but she can’t go to far away since you have the tether. Also, sometimes you just have to leave as soon as she starts not listening. I know it puts a damper on your plans and, obviously, there are some times when you can’t do that, but you have to start enforcing some kind of punishment other than just time out when you eventually get home. Two hours later does nothing for right now, if that makes sense.

@mommyof3tx6 жыл бұрын
My youngest is right about Amelie's age, but I have 4 older boys as well. At that age if you're going to use time out it has to be an immediate consequence. Talking about it once you're home and then doing it I promise won't work. She's too young to understand and put two and two together. If you want to use time outs do it in public. If she isn't listening find a spot you can sit down and put her in time out right there. OR if you don't want to do that then leave immediately and do a timeout in the car. This age can be rough, they are just finding their voice and trying to push boundaries and see how far they can push us but just stay strong and firm and set those boundaries and it'll pass pretty quickly. Also, as far as the stroller goes, I make my almost 2yr old stay in the stroller. Period. I refuse to chase a toddler, one I'm not physically able to, but also it's important that she is safe. So I'll make her stay in even if she doesn't want to, and discipline would be the same if she throws a fit about having to do so, and then maybe at the end let her out to walk for a bit but if she runs off she's immediately back in the stroller. Between all 5 of my kids I've never had them running from me for more than a few weeks when they are first testing out that boundary and then never again because it's probably the #1 rule I enforce because if my 3yr old decided to take off and run from me I physically wouldn't be able to catch them before they were off into the parking lot or something.
