I have never felt so compelled to respond to a video than this one. Elsa, you are so inspiring! I have 3 kids, born in 1987, 1991, and 1993. I used old fashioned cloth diapers with diaper pins and rubber pants for all of them. Washed them using Ivory Snow and lined dried when I could. I also used disposable diapers some of the time for convenience. Even though I am 65 now, I can remember going through the same emotions you are experiencing as you approach your due date. You will figure everything out - you have an amazing partner and your child will have the best life! Thank you for being so honest and for all of your videos. I have been following for about 4 years now. Sending best wishes to you and Barron and I look forward to your upcoming videos!

Elsa, I’m 49 years old. I have 9 children (11 pregnancies). My oldest is 29, my youngest is 1 year old. I’d like to offer just a few tidbits of basic advice. -You will always be learning better and then doing better. -Instinctual parenting is the best and least stressful approach to parenting in general. You’re a peaceful, and mindful person by nature. Your instincts will guide you in the best direction with your baby. Always trust yourself. -Don’t overthink the diapers. I’ve cloth diapered by youngest 7 children. Stick with all natural fabric diapers and wash with whatever you wash your clothes in, as I know you’re toxin free in your life. Sun dry always. You can boil the fabrics once or twice and sun dry in between. It’ll cut the amount of washing you’ll need to prep them. -Lastly… you’re the perfect choice for this baby coming to you. She chose you to bring her earth side and guide her in her journey here, because she knew you were perfect for her. So relax, and enjoy the journey together. You, Barren, and baby will be wonderful. ❤

I’ve been a nurse-midwife for 30 years. In my experience women become uncomfortable around 36 weeks, but nature pushes the body until it can’t accommodate further growth. You’re feelings are completely valid and normal. You are doing exactly what you need to do mama.

Cloth diapers was the best thing I did for my baby. At first she had diaper rash, so when I went to cloth she never had diaper rash. I did use pampers on occasion when we were away for a weekend. My doc. recommended when I wash the diapers I rinsed them in 1/4 cup white vinegar. No diaper rash. Here is where I never ever tell someone what to do but, I hope you thought about medical insurance, especially for the baby. There will be doc. appointments and pop-up things that you will need ins. for. You have everything under control and I wish you the very best of luck and a easy delivery. The very best advice I ever got was from my doc: she said no one knows your little on like you do, so use your best judgement. She said don't take advice from your mom-in-law or your aunt just use your best judgement. You don't have to follow it if you don't feel like it. She said tell the family thanks for the advice and go on doing what your doing. I know things are going to go well for you. Will you show us the baby when she's born?? I can't wait to see Baron's reaction when he sees just how little it will be.

In the last 2 or 3 videos, I really got a sense that you were content, and kinda "over it", whatever "it" was. That your perspective had changed, and that there were bigger and better things to be focused on. The vibe I was getting was the same energy of like the best moms or aunts you can think of, who are fun, but at the same time don't take no shit. And I applaud you for it. Cheers.

Elsa and Barron, you can just utilize short spontaneous video clips of your doggos, kitties and your baby of cute antis and expressions. People go ga-ga for animals and babies.. Throw in snippets of your own silliness. I have been in awe of you from the first video of you in the Scamp I watched. You are so real and so natural.

As you were talking about your nesting experiences, my husband was moving through the room and heard you. He chuckled a little and said, "Remember when you took all the spices out of the cupboard and arranged them alphabetically?" lol That was a while ago! We are now aged 70 and 65!! With 5 adult kids and 10 grandchildren. Nesting is just realizing your life is about to change in a big way and that you need to prepare a little for that change. Cooking ahead some freezer meals, washing all the baby clothes, buying a new bedspread (you needed one anyway!) .... it's just being a responsible adult. lol You look marvelous. Gaining 30 to 35 pbs in pregnancy is VERY healthy. Way to go!! You're smashing this pregnant mom thing.

Your observation and insight about purchasing those crystals really struck a chord with me. We live in an average home in the UK. We are about to have repair work done that means we need to put many belongings in a storage container whilst the roof and wall are done. It’s felt stressful but I’m now seeing a change for a positive change. Decide what we need and value … the rest can go. Wishing you and Barron the best xx

From the moment I found out I was pregnant I viewed my body completely different and have ever since. It was my sons first home, his first safe place, his nourishment, his protection and it always will be. And i was genuinely happy when i was softer because babys like a warm soft cushy bosom to nestle in🥰 i feed my body so it can feed him, protect him, work to provide for him. I love the way we were designed!!

One more thing… the talk of being in the city surrounded by people and feeling isolated… 100% on point there and the disconnect from nature… I feel like as humans we just aren’t supposed to be so far withdrawn from nature!! It is depleting us! I teared up when you talked straight to me through the screen and I just have so much love for you and Baron ugh! I don’t know why this video is pulling on my heartstrings so badly but I love it! I am and always will be such a fan of you and your beautiful family! I hope someday to meet you!

Elsa, I have been following your channel ever since the NYX face awards. I love watching your videos and thought it so awesome when I saw we were both pregnant around the same time after each having suffering a loss. I had a miscarriage in march 2024 and now I'm due with this baby in May of 2025. When you started talking about your eating disorder and about finally eating when you were hungry, listening to your body or ordering what you wanted in restaurants, it's something that resonates deeply with me. I have a 4 year old daughter who I have always taught to listen to her body and if she was hungry. I never talk about the way she looks or the way I look, even if it goes against my nature and the way I grew up. I think most of our mothers and grandmothers would often criticize their own bodies and maybe ours too- even if they didn't intentionally want us to think that doing that was okay, we grew up doing it. To go against the way one grew up thinking and to teach a child to do differently isn't easy but it's worth it in a million different ways. I want my daughter to be confident in herself and in anything she does. Respecting herself and her body is so important. I'm glad you feel so at ease during pregnancy, it completely suits you. I wish you a serene and healthy birth as well as a loved and happy family. My love all the way from France ;)

A Mennonite lady I served in birth years ago was having her 10th child and she told me she was scared. Having had only 4 myself I was so surprised. But it always helped me to remind women that its normal to feel uncomfortable with the unknown...the best you can do is all that you are doing. You have had such grace addressing these questions...personally I am bothered that people approach a woman with such things. Once again I am loving you watching you do this in your own way...keep up the amazing work.

08:31 Elsa, thank you for speaking about your pregnancy experience. I also had a wonderful 2nd trimester into my third, feeling natural and connected with my body. (Unfortunately weeks 34-40 were SPD and gradual descent into pre-eclampsia so, yes, this can be the worst time.) Throughout my pregnancy I also highly valued my nutrition, as well as exposure to everyday city toxins, taking best care I possibly could of my growing son. Ten years on, it remains truly one of my proudest accomplishments as a parent. Post-partum and in parenthood however, my husband and I fell into common trap of not eating as healthy, exercising regularly or taking time to focus on ourselves because life revolves around putting your child(ren)'s needs first above your own. Watching your channel for 7+ years now, I know you and Barron revere a healthy lifestyle and worked hard to earn your flexible schedule. But please don't forget to take care of yourself and, together with Barron's help, schedule out regular time for yourself alone. It's easy to say but harder to do and I think it will only enhance your sense of motherhood and whole being. 😊 Sending positive energy your way for a healthy baby and mommy and looking forward to seeing your journey into parenthood. Sorry for the long message and hopefully you got to read this. Cheers!

You're still young. I had my first and only at 42 years old. It wasn't easy, but we got through it. He is 21 now. Time flies, so enjoy the whole process. Stuff can go wrong. It did for us. I had to have an emergency C section on New Years Eve and try finding a doctor. Was there consequences from that, yes, but won't go into that. Enjoy your pregnancy, the good, the bad, and the ugly lol. Your body will change after pregnancy, hips widen, hormones are everywhere, etc, so being not so weight conscious might be a good thing. Good luck. ❤

I gained 35 pounds in pregnancy and I also was very thin before i got pregnant. I would never think I had an eating disorder but looking back I restricted what I ate. I never starved but if I weighed over 124 I would freak and stop eating. I was always very anxious and down and I now know it’s because I was deprived of nutrients and that is why I felt so bad. I started eating healthy and not restricting and I feel so good now. I eat when I am hungry and stop when I feel full. I have gained a bit but I feel great! I loved being pregnant because I ate to have a healthy baby and had two babies over 8 pounds. I am happy you are dealing with your reasons behind not eating. You are beautiful and smart and loved. You will be a wonderful mommy!

First - you are gorgeous! You look relaxed, happy & content. Second - re gift giving between each other. We don't. Been together 47 years. For the first 2 years we did a couple of small things, but when we bought our 1st house, Xmas purchases transitioned to things we needed or wanted for the house - like tools, or flooring (stick-on-tile LOL). As life went on, we just bought what we needed or wanted, when it was needed or wanted. No gifts work for us, and we don't care what others do.

Such words of wisdom. You’re going to be an amazing mom. Oh & I couldn’t sit like that towards the end of my pregnancy (I had a big baby boy!) .. I had to sit reclined at all times to be able to breathe!! The breathlessness is for real. Sending love & good vibes ❤

Ms. Elsa, I love that you are getting to know your now-self by getting to know your past self better. Thank you for being kind to yourself. Thank you for showing everyone how healthy that is, not just for you but also for your lovely growing family. It gives us all permission! 🙌

An amazing video! Thank you for opening up with your journey as a teenager. In my experience in maternal healthcare, pregnancy sure brings up a lot of reflection and analysis. I am excited with whatever level I get to see in postpartum and beyond. Loved hearing about your experiences mentally, hormonally and physically, too!

I love how you work at keeping things simple for the baby. One of the things I did right was to not want or need a lot of baby equipment. I didn’t have a change table as I changed her on the bed. My mom bought a bunch of flannel, cut it up, hemmed it and showed me how to fold them. I bought a few plastic pants to go over the cloth and we were in business. Nursing, once you get the hang of it, was the easiest way to feed my baby. She didn’t have a bottle, she went from breast to sippy cup. I’m sure you and Baron have got this. You will figure out what works for you and your baby

I love your messages about hunger cues. Something I am actively working on too while not pregnant. I feel great focusing on eating healthy and SATIATING meals that taste great vs prioritizing hitting exact macros for example. I have a more deep rooted want to eat well for my wellness vs eating to look a specific way only. Excited to see that cute baby face soon!

I understand perfectly about your self loathing and eating disorder. My self loathing didn’t come out in an eating disorder, but self mutilation, I thought I deserved being hurt. Years of therapy later, I wish I could say the self loathing is gone, but I have learned better ways to cope with it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ You’re looking so pretty and glowy, praying for the best for you and your family. ✌🏼❤️

My husband and I are hoping to have kids in the near future. I have some worries and fears, but I feel deeply comforted after hearing you talk about your experience. You are helping aspiring mothers immensely. Listening to what your body wants, nourishing your body and your baby is what's most important. "I can't be selfish anymore... this is no longer just about me." Thank you for sharing Elsa! 💞

Hey there, Several years ago I told my nephew, Andrew Jaeger, about you two because he moved to southern Colorado. He was recently visiting me, now in Oklahoma, and he told me that he checked your channel and drives by your property when out working. Andrew is 35 and works for the government as an agricultural agent. He loves to fish and enjoys hunting sheds. So cool to make a connection through you two. Happy new journey into parenthood a job that never ends🤠❤️

Everything you are going through, feeling like it is a lot etc. is very natural but listening to you about your eating and how you looked at things, I wanted to say you look so healthy. You and Barron will work it all out and you will be great parents. At 33 you are most definitely not geriatric young lady! The baby brain you are experiencing is nothing like the brain fog I have and next month I will be 60! I’m not sure just how close you are to your due date, but just in case, I hope everything goes well and you and the baby are both lovely and healthy x

I am so proud to watch your opening up. There is so much other young ladies need to hear. You are giving them hope in this overly serialized media. It's OK to not follow hellywood. Be your self!! God Bless you!

It's so inspiring to hear others talk about not going into debt and actually owning their things, not being owned by your things. I bought my property outright and am in the same boat as you are with building my space as I have money. I currently live in a "lock off" style room in the garage and it has neither power nor water at the moment because I couldn't afford that utility. I have learned how to live with next to nothing and it stresses me out when I go to my families houses in the city and bombarded with a mountain of shite 😵‍💫thank you for sharing 🤙

It’s going to be a wonderful grand adventure and you’re going to grow and learn so much. I think you have a great attitude about being open to all things and kind of going with the flow and not being so rigid about how you want things to go
is this goodbye...?
