I never heard of you Sir. But when I saw your video, I understood that the Holy Spirit was directing me to watch and learn. I didn't have a relationship with my father and I thank God for you. Thank you for teaching from a relationship view and sharing your personal experience with the Father. I'm blessed! 🙏🏾❤️

Good day man of God. Thank you for your words ond wisdom and also confirming somethings. I am 59 yrs and since age 14, have the gift of the Seer and has been developing intently over past 15 years. Having resigned 31 Dec 24 to do Evangelim as was called 3 Sept 24, at the dawn of 1 Jan 25 also a new dawning seeing myself in the garden of Eden like literally having stepped out of the garden of Gethsemane into the garden of Eden. God gave me the revelation same day. Thank you for being a blessing, much appreciated ❤

Dear brother Mumford... I want you to know what a joy it is to hear your wisdom again. I just made the following comment to a friend: "As Bob Mumford used to say, 'God has some funny kids' "... Now I know my dear Roman Catholic friend has no idea who you are, but she understood, and responded, "He certainly does, and we know MANY of them... 😂" Dear brother Mumford, I can't tell you how many times I have shared some of your gems through the years. One of, if not my all time favorite is: "If you are afraid of German Shepherds, and you walk long enough with the Father, you WILL get the pet the German Shepherd"....this was from your discussion on Job's real problem [Fear], and how God cannot leave us in that state, because fear has torment, and PERFECT love [must thereby] cast out fear.... So that we might whole and complete, assured In and Of the Father's love... I am 66 years old now, and still experience anxiety, fear, guilt, and emotional torment at times, but the Lord has been leading me in the way of stillness recently, and I just listened to your talk about "The Skill to be Still".... Do you know how resistant some of us are to have the Father love us back to wholeness? I know you do, because it is over 40 years since I heard that message, and you are still trying to tell His 'kids', "Why don't you sit still and let Him love you, heal you, and restore you... 😢" OH brother Bob, I so pray that heaven is as tangible as some make it out to be. I wish I could hear from you, your thoughts on heaven. And I pray that one day soon, I will master the skill of being still and let my Father restore the Father/Son relationship you speak of. Your words in that message have given me hope all these years that I will one day pet that German Shepherd... And I think it's time like Caleb of old to say "I want that mountain...!" Amen and Amen... I love you Brother Bob... 🙏

A perfect Father’s Day message 🥰🕊️💝 May our lives be completely governed by Father. 🙏💕 thank you for this message. I was listening to a Wade Taylor message (I love his messages) and he shared about that class you were in together where God came through Walter Beutler and He moved on all of you. It was beautiful. And I looked you up. Glad I did. May God bless you and yours today. 🙏🕊️

i also want to add that you were the first Bible teacher i listened to when i became a believer in 1984. You talked via video on the Work and the Way of the Cross. It was in a classroom in Hatfield Christian Church in Pretoria. I remember the message to this day. I love your joy and humour. Please continue your life messages!! The (Your) weight in the Spirit is felt tangibly

I see how you get emotional when you speak of the one you love, I can relate and have been struggling with my emotions. Do you have any wisdom in how we should understand the experience of emotion in our witness. I feel it well up as I do my best not to let it get in the way of pointing to Christ. Not having much success even after 10 years, I look for advice if this is a hindrance to my witness or like many say it’s a help to believe it from a heart impacted by the Spirit.

Love you Bob, and please bear with me as I share my humble opinion... IMHO, if it is humble, #2 is as important if not more important as/than #1. The Bible begins revealing God as the creator. John writes: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made." Paul writes in Romans 1 "that which is known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it unto them. For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse: because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened." Since God did create all things ("without him was not anything made that hath been made") He is greater than all things created and therefore He is ALONE God, a being different than any other thing He has made. And the Bible ends with the New Heavens, Earth and the New Jerusalem. We are NEW CREATIONS in Christ. Atheists who deny the existence of God are forced to deny God ia the Creator. And they do. If they saw the cosmos as God's creation they would have to say He is ALONE the God over all things. We should I believe PRAY God reveal Himself (Them Selves) as Creator(s).

Several years ago a minister met with me, telling me that I was the only person he had ever met, other than his own son - who had brain damage, who didn’t have any passion in life. I answered him, asking him, isn’t that the point? That Christ’s call is for us to live a crucified life. My own desires and aspirations need to be destroyed. This minister looked at me and asked how I could get to that conclusion? My answer was, how can it be anything other than that? Unfortunately, this has taken me to a life of ashes. I can’t find anyone who speaks directly to this. I thought you might touch on this here. Almost…… My deepest apologies for placing this comment here. It’s honestly as though if I can’t discover a resolution to this, then my relationship with Christ is somehow schizophrenic. I know that’s not supposed to be the case.

hi Roger, I hear you. I have a similar problem in my walk with God. Guilt always brings me down, people in general and "Christians" in parrticular on the whole are best avoided, tending to be Job's comforters. I am beginning to learn in my old age that a lot of this stems from pride and stubborness, doing things by myself and not opening my heart and life to allow God to express His love through me. Trying so hard always to do everything right and well in my own strength is exhausting. Many years ago, Bob gave a wonderful lesson, "Life on the razor's edge". He taught that everything is a balancing act. I have to ask for help, but also do the best I can. This applies to everything in life and it is never easy to discern exactly what is from God and what is from myself. I think this is why the scriptures tell us to persevere to the end, fight the fight , be strong and courageous. I am privileged to live on a beautiful farm, and I take great pleasure in praising the Lord for all the magnificence of His creation, from massive mountains down to the tiny creatures hiding behind flowers. Please don't ever give up, you will find your balance, God will teach you to find beauty and joy beyond your desires and aspirations.

Brother, read the desert fathers, and the saints of the orthodox church. Read about St. Ignatius in the west, who famously would pray against the things he desired. The Christian tradition is one of radical self-sacrifice and abdandoment to the loving mercy of God. Read Thomas Merton especially, who lived at the monastery that has on its walls "For God Alone." You are in great company, and the number of teachers in the Christian tradition who advise on this is limitless. A story from St. Silouan "The now famous saying, “keep thy mind in Hell and despair not,” is a word given by God to St. Silouan one night as he struggled intensely with demons. Six months after going to the Holy Mountain St. Silouan was blessed to experience a vision of Christ in glory, in which he experienced the full Christ, and the life of Christ. Eventually he felt this grace subsiding and so he dedicated himself to extreme ascetical struggles in hopes of attracting the grace of God again. One night, fifteen years later, mentally and spiritually exhausted, St. Silouan wanted simply to bow before Christ in His holy icon, but a terrible demon stood in his way, and he heard from God in his heart, “The proud always suffer from demons.” When he asked God how to defeat pride he heard again in his heart, “Keep thy mind in Hell and despair not.”" St. Silouan later explained was that the meaning of this is: that we are to reject two thoughts. 1. I am a saint 2. I cannot be saved We are to recognize ourselves as in need of the most help, enslaved to pain, trauma, and the passions, and we look at out condition as beyond saving and yet we despair not, because we trust in Christ. I really only put this here as a sort of sales advert about the beauty of this tradition and its teachers who lived lives of complete abdandoment and trust in Christ. Seek these sources out if you should like to hear words on being crucified to what the Fathers call the passions. Theres a lot of great stuff on youtube from these sources. I know Merton has a very good recording called "death to the world." And "Orthodox Wisdom" is a very good source for the great asetics who have lived a life of aridity for God. A desert that transforms into a spring. I cannot, being very ignorant, say anything that can resolve your problems but within the tradition and these teachers there is such a radiant source of love and self abandonment to the healing and restorative will of God, that it is medicine for all who cross upon it.

"Father's terms..." sounds impersonal. He is MY Father, and OUR Father. And YOUR Father. Therefore I can claim him and all that he is as mine, because he claims me and you as his own.
