@@FYMM69 I was very lucky. I saw AC⚡DC first at small university gig. Angus got on Bon's shoulders & they walked around the audience. The second time they were supporting The Who at Wembley Stadium & The Who fans absolutely loved them. So tragic Bon passed at such a young age. I've always liked Brian & he is a good substitute.

I saw Bon and the band in Johnson City, Tennesee in 1979 at the Freedom Hall Civic Center. The opened for Rush and t he ticket price was a whopping $5.00! I didn't care much for Rush and only went to see AC/DC after being blown away when I heard 'Let There Be Rock' on the radio not long before the show. What a memory that I cherish to this day. Still love the band as much as ever. I was devastated when I read the Bon had died. It was awful. May he and Mal forever rest in peace.

@@timrose9175 Amazing you got to see Bon. Definitely memories to cherish. Very expensive! Did Bon & Angus do a walk around in the crowd - Angus sat on Bon's shoulders playing his guitar when you saw them? I saw AC⚡DC first at a university gig which cost around £2 & the second time it was an all day event at Wembley Stadium. London. UK The Who, The Stranglers, AC⚡DC & Nils Lofgren & tickets cost £8. The Who crowd absolutely loved AC⚡DC & my guess is some people were seeing them for the first time. I was devastated as well when I heard Bon had died. I've always liked Brian & thought he was a good substitute but I've never wanted to see them again. I used to live near the place in Camden where Bon died & every time I walked past the area all of my hairs stood on end!

@@chrisarnett1394 that is the before and after commercials intended to be broadcast on the television networks. They do it all the time for news too. They tell you on commercials, comming up we have... then it comes on and you watch and they do it again, and later we will show you... then again...then when it comes time to tell the news they promised, they actually end up telling you nothing new that we didn't already know to begin with.

I didn’t realize he’s that old . Well his wife has good head on her shoulders and to be together 50 years now, wow. Where they have their houses can be reached within 12 hours on a fight on an Airbus A-380 or private jet. He has earned everything he’s got the hard way through hard work. Being on the road no matter your occupation is hard, no doubt about it. I’m kinda surprised that he’s Camaro has an automatic rather then the close ratio Muncie 4 speed but the car looks great.

They sure had a big impact on my life! I remember thinking once that usually when i hear an album from an artist, it's like 2-3 songs you really like and the rest of the album can be like meh.. I can't think of an ACDC song I did not like! Listening thru their albums for the first time, i was like WOW amazing song, the next song, same feeling! Hard to say you have favorite songs with ACDC since all their songs are pretty great! TNT, Giving the dog a bone! Moneytalks, Riff Raff, Stiff Upper lip, Cyberspace, Safe in new york city, Back in black, thunderstruck, All screwed up, Dirty Deeds done dirt cheap, Big balls, Can't stand still, Come and get it, Damned, dog eat dog, Fly on the wall, givin the dog a bone, have a drink on me, Hells bells, High Voltage, Highway to hell, house of jazz, its a long way to the top ( if you wanna rock n roll ), Meltdown, Money shots, Problem child, Satellite blues, she got balls, who made who and YOU SHOOK ME AAAAL NIGHT LONG!!! Those are all equally my favorite songs, but i still loved all the other songs too, but mainly these songs that I mentioned has given me memories, and made me feel on feelings which left a mark in my life as a memory that i can relate to every time I hear their songs! I remember how i used to ride my scooter/moped while listening to Stiff upper lip and Meltdown and when Angus came in with his iconic solos I could not sit still on that moped seat lol, people that saw me had to think I was nuts, i jumped up and down with my rare end from the seat in beat with the music lol! GREAT band! Also get annoyed when people say that ACDC is easy to play and that people who only knows to play ACDC songs have low guitar skills lol! Yes their songs are not super complex, but simple and their songs rock! Also saying that playing acdc is easy is actually not true. Many people that will show off that they know thunderstruck for instance, did like I did for many years, tapping the part Angus is playing, but guess what... he PICKS every note, even the pull offs gets picked, and it's not easy unless you are handy with alternate picking! The band is tight, and if you know how to play their songs, you are NOT a low skilled or mediocre guitarist, and if you DO know all their songs, you probably know how to play other songs too, so this "hope you know how to play something else than just ACDC" First off, it's not JUST ACDC.. its ACDC!!!! second off, never meet anyone in my life that knows how to play ACDC perfectly but can't play anything else lol!

The financial estimate of his wealth is way off. There was an exhibition of acdc band history in their original hometown of Glasgow about twelve years ago at the Kelvingrove museum which I attended. A piece of information was quoted from Forbes magazine as them being even richer than the Rolling Stones and puts the combined wealth of only just the founders Malcolm and Angus at USD $750m - that figure was from about 2011, so he's worth even more now.

How can someone who’s born in Scotland be an Australian guitarist?
@wendycox9476
@wendycox9476 Күн бұрын
The family moved here when the boys were young. His brother George formed the Easy Beats..they had a global hit with Friday on my mind. Bowie covered it. The rest of the family were all musical but Malcolm & Angus always shared a close bond. They formed AC/DC in 73' ..started playing all the pubs and clubs around Australia cementing there name through constant touring and hard work. Radio here wouldn't play there first single High Voltage on the radio. It was purely through building up a live following of loyal fans eventually radio had no choice but to play them because they were so popular. They also performed live on a show here called Countdown". You will find them playing Can I sit next to you girl' with Bon in a school girl uniform!! ( Funny"). There 1st singer before Bon was a guy named Dave Evens..he still plays round the gigs here today. After becoming Australia's number one band for many years they decided to go to the UK. where they initiated the same rigorous live reputation playing with some of the worlds most famous bands..Dio/Sabath/Kiss/ etc. only blowing them all off the stage. After making a name for themselves there, it was on to conquer the big one..USA..since then they have travelled every country around the world to become one of the biggest bands in the world..they worked bloody hard to get where they are to day with pure hard work, grit, and determination. Unfortunately we lost Bon along the way...however..Bon had seen Brian play in Geordie a few times and had mentioned him to the guys before he died as a great singer..when he passed, the guys remembered the recommendation even though they were broken hearted over Bon..his parents told the guys Bon' would want them to go on..not give up. Brian was tried out..and the rest as they say ...is Rock n Roll history !! So'' to answer your Question..they are classed as our Aussie greats because they lived here, started here, had there first hit, and recorded with Alberts records..which was there brother Geaorge's label when the easy beats broke up. He had that in partnership with his other band mate Harry Vanda. They now..belong to the world..although they all have places here in Sydney. I hope that answered a few of your queries.. Oh and when they tour here..they come on stage with HI" SYDNEY!!! ITS NICE TO BE HOME" ! Keep on rocking John..and have a good one mate !! W"
