Thank you!! My daughter is moving from Kansas City to Columbia this weekend. She was going to sell her washer and dryer, but I convinced her that we could move them in my Honda Odyssey! This video really helps!

For such long distance move it will be hard to keep smooth driving. I advise to fix the washer drum by special bolts... or put something in the gap between drum and housing to prevent its vibrations and shacking during bumpy road.

@@RUS_US Special bolts? Would stuffing towels between the gaps work?
@RUS_US3 жыл бұрын
@@cti-gasdetectionspecialist4153 i sure you can find these bolts online cheap. The something like towels is just my idea and not sure how it will work. I would remove one panel (top for example) and put something in between drum and walls. One more tip: it is hard to remove all water from whasher. To keep your car dry put film and towel under the washer.

Great Video though good stuff

Thank you! yea you are right. It hard to predict what people will love the most. The latest my disovery/best seller is a short on how to remove vinyl print from shirt. Another my video (moray eel bite a fisherman) i expected very intersting with millions views in fact got those millions but it tool couple years before it got noticed. The promotion from other channels or youtube recommendation is what makes most of views. i value any amount of like and views because some my videos are complicated and require skills to understand and use. i.e. maybe it is small numbers but they are skilled and smart. Even if it will be only who like and need it then it counts as a win and not a waste.

I’m going to move an Maytag top loader from the NYC area to my daughter in Philly. The tape measurements say that it will fit in my Chevy Equinox (with the seats down). I hope so. I was just going to stuff the basket with a large blanket to protect it. As for getting the unit in - we have a dog ramp that we bought to help one of our old dogs (she was very big, and infirm in her last year), so I’ll use the ramp. Our current dogs are even bigger, but they’re young!

Hi… I'm considering buying a used washer and would like to buy and drive it home about four miles on local streets in my Ford Focus hatchback. But, from what I've been reading, the washer could be damaged buy laying it on its side or back. Do you remembering if you did anything specific beforehand in preparation of the machine being moved? Thank you.
@RUS_US3 жыл бұрын
you should drive smoothly like with baby in car then it will be ok. The moovers and trucks are not so gently and for sure they can damage it. To prevent this the special bolts/screw exist to clamp the washer barrel during mooving ... but for sure you do not need it

@@RUS_US would a washer that is top-loaded be damaged if transported in a minivan or just a front loader?
@RUS_US4 жыл бұрын
@@byronfoster1651 it depends on how smooth is the ride. Most probably for any small car driving it will be safe. In a big track it could be rough. Or when a box with washer is moving from track to shop. The moovers think how to move faster but not smoother.

You pack the drum out with polystyrene or wood. And replace the bolts that go in the back to stop the drum moving. When it’s delivered.
