I can't take your review of this soundbar seriously if you're not plugging it into a TV, to demonstrate things like the bass.

Bought the Bose Solo Sound Series 2 in Feb 2025, and pretty much amazed by the sound clarity and punch. There is an option to increase bass. Hard to believe such a small speaker can pack such power. The only shortcoming is that everything is controlled via remote, there are no button(s) on the speaker.

1. This is a TV speaker to watch shows and movies, not music. 2. Your recording of the video distorts the sound quality 3. The reproduction of your distorted sound quality gets further distorted on my iphone. Next time just give your opinion, no need to play music.

I am very happy with the Solo S2. I use the optical connection. Sounds great watching movies and playing Xbox.

Bought one last week. Returning it this week. It is an unimpressive unit. Only a few features and the sound is just OK. Plus, it doesn't sync with a DirecTV receiver so you are stuck with using two separate remotes.
