I saw this truck a few years back when I was working in Chattanooga. Man if I had the means to buy that beautiful truck,I would have and worried about putting it to work later. I sat in the driver's seat to get the money shot "the view overlooking the hood" and fell in love. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL TRUCK!!! Now in the year 2022,these beauties are hard to find and far over priced. Just pushed the blue collar worker out of the massive price range.

Gonna spend that kind of money on a studio sleeper and only get a 1850 torque package instead of the 2050?? This is what Peterbilt Steve says. Other guys cheap out on options. I’m a die hard w900L and western star fan. But Peterbilt Steve is hands down the best at the videos and attention to detail and specing a truck out and keeps the driver in mind with all his builds.

Those MHC guys in Chattanooga are good. The turbo on my T680 crapped out at the top of Monteagle. Found out I also had a good amount of engine damage too. Got in at 1 AM and left just about 48 hours later.

Kenworth makes a good truck they are comfortable they aren’t the trucks of the 60’s and 70’s like the ones I learned on and drove. In those days. The difference is like Ford vs. Chevy, I drove mostly logging trucks in the Pac West the argument over handing and steering ruled high and then the Jimmy GMC 5 Star general came out put those trucks to shame!

I drove a 13 speed with a 1800flbs paccar. You have to remember you're pulling weight when you climb and get ready for a descent cause it'll pull hills in almost any gear low rpm..

As far as DAYCABS ...long hood 389 have 2 functional pipes. short hood 389 has 1 functional and 1 dummy. due to the short hood everything is stuffed further back under the truck. to make it all fit they raise the ride height of the cab itself as well.
