I was an airport officer so it’s different but I know officers and they have the same types of rules. But I agree with whoever said if they didn’t do this they wouldn’t have the extra action scene.

To be honest we been able to do that for the last 3 decades. Every radio uses crypto keys that are stored on the radio it self. You just change the key on all current radios which would render the radio stolen useless.

@RKingis the marine corp does a fresh cycle of crypto keys ever two weeks. In a case where a radio is stolen, multiple platoons will be able to change the crypto key in less than 30 minute. This is utilizing tech that is incredibly outdated, back in desert storm times. There is no way that the police force isn't on modern equipment. Also, you definitely do not have 10,000 plus units utilizing the exact same crypto key. And you definitely have frequent cycles. With today's tech it would probably be automated, and damn near daily.
