My family and I suffered from a car accident 10 days ago on Christmas day 12/25/21 while we were parked on the side of the road got rear ended by a drunk driver going approximate 80+ MPH. Thank you Luis for making the type of content you make sending the positive messages. We can't change the world, but at least we can control and start changing our bad habits individually! As someone who’s been clean for 14 years I can’t even imagine if I had that kind of weight on me, my life would have been over. I struggle everyday but it’s not hard to remember why I got clean when I see episodes like this! I have 3 daughters now and I could never hurt them with my stupidity so I stay clean 💜

Do it for yourself. Let your wife and daughters be beneficiaries of your continuing efforts. As they become old enough to understand, share your story with them, so they can learn a valuable lesson, rather than live it themselves. We, both, only have today. We can't change the past, but we CAN affect the future, by being truthful about our past. My sobriety date is September 12, 1988. I haven't driven in over 12 years, medication side effects. Public transportation, and Uber. is how we get around. Like I said, earlier, we both only have today.

That brought back so many memories I nearly lost my brother to a drink driver when we was little he was in a coma for over 8 weeks 44 years on and he still has problems today. The driver got away with it he then did it again but this time the little boy he hit didn't make it think he got a year for killing him. Please don't drink and drive call a for a taxi or ask a friend to pick you up its not worth the risk

Yeah I was once drinking and driving and rammed into a car at a red light. My car was totaled but everyone was ok. I got my first and last DUI but I’m glad that’s all that happened. I was going through a hard time with my now ex fiancé and wasn’t thinking clearly. I know now drinking doesn’t solve your problems but only makes them worse. I’ve learned a lot and wouldn’t do it again.

Excellent video, Luis! Thank you. I'm a recovering addict & alcoholic myself & it takes real courage to admit that you need help. If anyone reading this is currently struggling with addiction, please know that recovery is possible & help is available for you, whenever you are ready. Don't worry about what other's will think. You have to do this for you. Life gets so much better once you get clean & sober. I have 4 children who depend on me & I'm so grateful for my sobriety. I'll be 40 this Summer & I first started using as a teenager. Whether you choose detox/rehab or the fellowship of the rooms with NA/AA meetings, please seek it before it's too late. Jails, institutions, death is what's in the future if you continue allowing your addiction to rule your life. Blessings, better health, better relationship with family, & a happy, promising life are in your future, once you make that important, tough decision to get help. You can do this! You're worth it! You are special, you are loved. One day at a time!💕💯

The hardest thing with a vast majority of alcoholics is that they don't know how to stop drinking because they are addicted. My fiance is an alcoholic but only because he's addicted. We're starting counseling to help him, but it's not as easy as it seems. I wish that we could just open our eyes and it would be all over, but it's both his life and mine that is affected by this. Thank you for showing both sides to this story.
@mar4kl2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for producing this, Luis. I am one of too many people who wish we could just wake up and find that they were just having a bad dream. I'm guessing the drivers who drove drunk and turned us into mourners wish the same, but I don't know them personally, so I can only guess. Here's hoping your video results in more outcomes like the one in your video, and fewer real-life mourners. Typing through tears, but G-d bless!

Any amount of alcohol in your bloodstream can impact your driving ability. The effects of alcohol abuse vary greatly, putting you at risk for causing an accident or highway injury. Safe driving requires the ability to concentrate, make good judgements and quickly react to situations.😭😭😭

And According To The Police, My Last Phone Call, I Was On My Way To My Niece's Home, She Made A Pot Of Spaghetti 😅!!! And As For The Drunk Driver, He & His Sons Were On Their Way To Kill Someone 😳!! The Drunk Driver's Head Went Though The Windshield And He Had Had A HeartAttack...But The Cops Let Him Know That He Was Still Going To Prison. I Was Pregnant With My 3rd Child, Pinned In & Knocked Out Until I Heard Ppl Say That I Have To Be Cut Out With "The Jaws Of Life"...One Of The Scariest Moments Of My Life!!!!

I love this so much I had actually thought he killed her in real life when he was just dreaming I got to say this is the best one he has ever made 😭 ❤ I mean people make there own decisions but it's how you get through tough times that matter because he was responsible to admit that he was drunk 🥴 and did not get under the wheel of a car why to go and shout out to you that shows his level of growth and that let you know the faculty he was in to get the help to stop ✋ drinking 🍸 they was really working with him so I love this video and always lusie from your favorite fan always keep doing what your doing and keep making content like 👍 this because this is needed almost everyday love it 😀 👍 shout out to you man

This was greatly told. I feel bad this happens in real life. My husband’s mother was killed by a drunk driver…….now at ending glad you changed it up!!
@kimbrey652 жыл бұрын
My husband used to drive home after drinking. I finally told him that I don't care he wants to kill himself but what about all of the other people (or kids), on the road with him? That hit him hard and he didn't drive after having drinks after that.
@danrichards23742 жыл бұрын
All alcoholics/addicts experience different "wake up calls". Example would be your husband's, and Andy's... different as night and day. Side Note: Rehab/Detox only works IF the person wants it to work. That's why there are so many relapses, they weren't ready yet. Each of us only have today. My sobriety date is September 12, 1988. I stopped driving over 12 years ago, due to medication side effects. I don't own a vehicle, and don't want one. Public transportation, and Uber, is how we get around.

I had a problem with drinking and taking sleeping pills. I was doing it at least 3 to 5 times a week. I was drinking way too much too, like the whole bottle, sometimes even more. I was doing it because I was sad, lonely, angry, and depressed. One night things got out of control. I got so lost in my mind and I started cutting myself. I had cuts on both of my arms but on my left arm I cut right through the superficial tendon and it wouldn't stop bleeding. I had to be taken to the hospital to get 15 stitches and then spend 10 days in a mental hospital. I quit drinking and taking pills and I am now 3 months clean. I now started going to the gym and I also now take kickboxing classes
