NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming has created an incredible foundation for me in my pursuit of mastering my life, which is why I teach it in my self improvement trainings and apply it when I do life coaching or help people with their businesses. NLP is a powerful model that will help you accelerate your results.

Intentionality is the alignment of actions with core values. It's not just about pursuing success; it's about doing so in a way that resonates with your purpose. Consider the values that are most important to you both personally and professionally. These values serve as the compass that guides your decision-making and actions. Many thanks Damon for explaining this so eloquently.

@@DamonCart Yes, I understand. Are there any other questions we should ask to clarify our objectives and ensure we are aligned with our values? Thank you so much for your help
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 6 ай бұрын
@@Hanna-saba alignment with your values is something you feel. It's like saying how do you know what you want to eat when you're looking at a menu at a restaurant? Your decision will come down to a feeling. You could instead choose to order what everyone else is ordering even though it's not a dish that you like. Then you would be out of alignment with what you value in order to be in alignment with what you want people to think about you. The first one will fulfill you. The second one will leave you unfulfilled.
@Hanna-saba

@@DamonCart so we need to pay attention to our emotional responses. If a decision feels fulfilling and energizing, it’s likely aligned with our values. If it feels draining or uncomfortable, it might not be.
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 6 ай бұрын
@@Hanna-saba it doesn't necessarily have to be emotion. It can be what we refer to as an evaluative feeling. Take the food example I gave in my last comment. You can decide what you want to eat without getting emotional. There's a felt sense of what you want. You don't want to rely solely on that emotional/evaluative feeling, which is why it's important to know your values as well as the criteria for fulfilling those values. Feelings can fluctuate. You might have a bad day doing something you know aligns with your values. For whatever reason it feels draining. But you know it aligns with your values and you know tomorrow will be better so you stick with it.

When it comes to NLP books, in general I tell people that anything by Steve and Connirae Andreas is great. It's difficult to learn NLP from books though because you can only really learn NLP experientially. I created an inexpensive NLP practitioner course to help people. Included is a community of practitioners to practice with. You can find it at ultimatenlppractitioner.com/

@@DamonCart watch it back. I found the cuts away to other angles distracting, the automatic zoom in and out etc. It had a sense of being edited by someone who was learning how to edit and had discovered lots of new ways to do it, getting trigger-happy in the process. This is only my opinion, and not meant in any way as 'trolling', I like your stuff, and this is shared in the spirit of being helpful if it is helpful of course. If not I will keep my feedback to myself. Mark

Unfortunately feels a bit vague to me. Expectations and trying to achive some chosen goals is not something that are a big part of my personal life. Trying to come up with some kind of goal that feels meaningful at all can be an issue though. Working with intention according to your values sounds good. But how does that translate into something that is possible to apply and actually make some concrete difference in every day life? It feels like statements like "carpe diem" ("catch the day"). It feels good to hear and think about to give you a slight mental boost, but in the end it will change nothing.
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 6 ай бұрын
Values are not metaphors, which is how "carpe diem" functions in the way you referred to it. Metaphors are great for transferring meaning but not effective at being applied because they don't give you much detail about how to do it. Values are different. If you value kindness, when you align with that value by behaving kindly, you will feel good about yourself. You can apply your values directly and align your behavior to them. The higher the value, the better you will feel about yourself (self-esteem) when you align with it. Your values are the keys to your fulfillment.
