Looks simple processes. 1. Phobia cure process 2. Swish Pattern 3. Reframing. I was so reluctant to use these 3 techniques since 2007 the day I was certified as NLP Practitioner. It's kind of inner unknown resistance that stops me using those techniques. Until now, when I saw your videos and learn Swish pattern. I am using it on myself successfully. And I am now hopeful that I will also learn phobia cure process and reframing soon. Thank you Damon.

I am glad you described exactly what anxiety is because I thought that when I was a young boy I was bullied by an older boy and it affected me greatly. I thought that I might have suffered from anxiety. It took me a long time to get over it and someone I thought said that I should forgive the bully but I couldn't. Then a couple of years ago I was told to forgive myself and that did work. Now it is a memory and I am not affected by it like I was before.

I’m glad you mentioned the swish pattern for anxiety. I have successfully used that (coupled with other anti-anxiety techniques) to help someone beat their 2.5 year adderall habit and another person with their sugar cravings. It’s really such a great technique once you figure out that exact trigger.

Hey Damon, thanks for your vids! Loving them :) Is it important to make the picture black and white while swishing and making it small while making the other image in bright colours? Thanks
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 4 жыл бұрын
You can do that. What works best is testing to see what works best. Everyone is different so find what works best for you. Turning it black and white won't diminish the effectiveness. It will likely increase it. However, some people may find it difficult to swish and at the same time turn the image black and white. It's okay if you don't turn it black and white.

Anything you can do where we can block a certain memory or think about it and remove any memory of feelings toward it whatsoever ?
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 4 жыл бұрын
You don't want to block a memory. First of all you can't so you'll just frustrate yourself. Go to the positive intent of whatever it was you were trying to do in the memory. This is the first step. Just realizing that you had a positive intent, regardless of how things turned out, will ease the pain. Let me know when you've got that and I'll give you the next step.

Life Mastery Gym it’s more so intrusive thought/word that pops up and just want it to go back to its regular place. I don’t feel strong emotions to it anymore because I view it seperate from me, but I want to just stop the word from popping up and when I forget, I would feel good and then think “what was I trying to forget again?” Automatically and then boom. It’s just annoying. And then it’s a heartbreak when my loser ex had told me he cheated and I’m trying to change the conversation because it kinda messed me up...but I’ll try that and watch more videos of yours. They do help and makes sense . I used the erase method where envision the word and say “Thank you but no thank you” and take an imaginary eraser and rib oit out or click the delete button

Your unconscious is trying to tell you something. Regardless of whether or not it's a great insight, this part of you won't stop until it is heard and integrated back into all of you. Just by your words I can tell that you've isolated this part of you. This creates suffering. Ask it what is its positive message and positive intent by showing you this word.
@mandeepkochhar

Adreanna just make a representation of that word in your mind's eye and thank it for appearing like that for you and Notice what happens. then thanks your Being for bringing it to your awareness and notice what happens. request your conscious mind to wait quietly and let your being make arrangements for what you want to happen for you instead......My two cents :) Quantum Healing application of NLP

What do you think and where u see the connection between NLP and the Big 5 personality traits (see Jordan Peterson) Anxiety is typical of Highly Neurotic personalities so... psychology treat anxiety as a personality trait (intrinsic / given element / hardwired = part of the person so difficult to change) when, by listening to you, I have the impression that in NLP anxiety is a "wrong" association or memory = extrinsic / soft and as such can be undone quite easily... What your thoughts about? is that easy to re-write anxiety in positive expectations?
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 4 жыл бұрын
I'm familiar with Peterson but I don't know his work in this are well enough to compare and contrast. What I explain in the video is reframing and restructuring the experience of anxiety instead of fighting it. Calling it a "wrong" association sounds like you're fighting with the anxiety. What I mention in the video is "over-associating" into a memory. NLP is about discovering the structure of experience and then making changes to that structure until is creates the response in yourself that you want.
@DamonCart

@@everykidsports I agree with most of that. I don't have anything against fear unless it becomes a limitation. Anxiety is like fear that has overstayed its welcome. It's a very limiting state.

What if there were many different events building onto each other which caused my anxiety and not really one?
@DamonCart
@DamonCart 3 жыл бұрын
Typically how this works is there's one main experience that causes it and from there it creates a category in which you select and collect (anxious) experiences as they happen, which strengthens the belief that you have anxiety. The belief becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy especially if you're imagining future examples that haven't even happened yet of being anxious, which is typically a part of having anxiety, and adding those to the category as well. If you can transform that main one by detaching from it and adding resources to it, it becomes a lot easier to just add resources to the entire category and flip the generalization that you have anxiety anymore.
