A few minutes in I realized it was already halfway through the video and there was no training happening. Ugh. Stopped the video at 4 min.

@user-no8dw4bv1r I made it about a minute in, the crowdfunding bit set off alarms. God I hate that KZbin removed the dislike. They empowered grifters and buried genuinely good content.

The old one sounds more authentic. The current voice seems exagarated with lots of artificial excitement.

You can really use whatever style you like, but the reason broadcasting tends to settle on a particular style with a certain cadence, pacing, and tone is because it's what audiences expect, it appeals to the most people, or it's the most easily understood, or some combo of all three. It really depends on your goals as a producer. The podcast Cum Town was one of the most successful comedy podcasts of all time, and it had relatively naturalistic delivery (by 3 professional comedians who know how to perform with a mic, to be fair) and some of the laziest post production. The mixing is so bad and muddy I can't understand it unless I'm wearing headphones. But the guy who started it is now a millionaire.

I get your point, but believe it or not, most people would rather listen to the exaggerated one. That's why you and I came here.

I think the name of the podcast is the problem. It's a tongue twister and doesn't sound good to the ears.
