I abandoned the jig heads a few weeks ago as local canal and river beds are snag central after the floods and with all the dropping twigs and leaves. Then again I was probably guilty of using too heavy jig. I'm starting to think a few lost jigs/lures might be worth a fish or 2 on the bank!
@Lifeonthebank2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you could switch to Chebs but I’d personally rather use an open jighead and lose a few. 👍

Nice one, if you want to take two rods , there is quite a good range of four piece and good quality telescopics , some lightweight models in spinning style , casting rods in U/L pretty rare , but fair choice in around the 7g up range , there are a couple in the 4g range on Ali Express . Obviously , its the reel that is really important for baitcasting light stuff - and they can be pricey . But if you are ok with spinning type , you can pack a second rod no probs .Haven't seen any four piece /tele rods ideal for drop shot though .

Tomorrow it's the last day for using lures, till the end of April (end of the season for the predatory). We will start using the classic worm to get those big mamas. I always find that catching the fish in the channel it is harder than in the river or lake, near my location. The channel it is very clear usually, so even in the summer, i use worms on the channel, and lures for the rest of the bodies of water.
@Lifeonthebank4 жыл бұрын
Oh really? Where are you located? We have restricted dates for lures on our big reservoirs but you can lure fish through the year on most lakes. Our rivers close completely 15th March - 15th June.
@mihaiad864 жыл бұрын
@@Lifeonthebank i am located with the enemies, on the other side of the channel :))). In the Est of France (Metz). The french have a lot of rules that i find that they are bad, like you can go fishing 30 after the sunset, only for carp....... Metz it's a perfect city for street fishing, channel fishing or fishing in the "nature". Have a nice day and i can't wait for a new video.
