You can also use a multi-band comp on your melodies and side chain to 808 so that the low end remains until the 808 hits. Good tips LS keep em comin' 👌🙏

I got a video suggestion for you: how to make hard bass lines. The tutorials on youtube suck because the basses won’t even hit hard from low 20 herz to 200 herz but they’re rather those constant sub basses only peeking at a particular frequency and sitting in the background

Recently I’ve been trying to practice using busses in my mixing. I had a question.. with melodies, should I send a melody/counter melody to a bus with fx or put the effects on them separately? I’m sure it depends on desired result as well.

Good stuff! I like to link my reverb and delay to a peak controller of the melody bus aswell, ducking the effects whenever plucks hits making them stand out more but still fill the empty space inbetween!

I have a problem, when i make a beat and listen it on monitors and headphones the melody sounds great but when I listen it on my phone the melody becomes way too loud. Somebody help me? Should I just make it more quiet

Maybe because the phone is in mono and there is clashing? Try checking how it sounds in mono in your DAW

Jacksxn if you looked I had 2 semitones adjusted on the other pitch nob... so 10 + 2 = 12 semitones. equaling one octave
