My guy.. check out FabFilter’s EQ Pro Q 3; the phasing on FL’s Parametric EQ is painful to listen to, it kills so much of the frequency spectrum with its phasing issues. Takes out so much of the beef. Just demo Pro Q3 and hear the difference for yourself. It’s a night and day difference.

Hey boss I would recommend putting your mic on a DR Pro stand. I had this heavy ass ribbon mic and it and would mic up guitar cabinets with it. It would stay up for weeks without falling while having a heavy mic on it.

Also, what's the DB of headroom you're looking for on the master track at the end of the mixdown? And what do you do for mastering after the mix is complete? Subbed.

Don't do too much bus mixing with my beats. On the master I usually just have a clipper and push into to get an aggressive sound. When I mix full sessions with vocals it's different, but my beat mixes is mostly in the mixer channels

I have a question ? Why didn't you do gain staging after adding effects to maintain the same levels you wanted. Also when u turned some of the knobs down it had the the db meter was way down again before you adjusted the volume at the beginning for mastering doesn't that affect the mastering. Thank you 😊

I love you bro. However it is not really clear to me how that parallel compression plugin works. What is the difference with a standard compressor itself?

So with a normal parallel compression setup, you would route the audio to a sub bus and then slam that sub buss with a compressor and then blend it back in with the original signal. This plugin allows you to just throw it on the track and do it all there. It also has it's own style to it. The solo knob lets you hear the compressed signal alone and then you can get an idea for how it sounds before blending that tone can in.
