So important to think of the experience you want to have, and think backwards to ensure you can make it happen when traveling solo! So important to be cautious and plan ahead, and not let yourself fall into a tricky situation. Great video Hal! 👍 number 27!

I’ve traveled alone for work to Asia, from the US, but never for pleasure. I’ve been thinking about some solo trips, as my wife isn’t as into traveling as I am. Thanks for the tips!

I travel for work domestically fairly often, but would love to have a job that would send me on occasional trips abroad! What a neat experience you were able to have Derek! Certainly hope you're able to get the wife inspired to travel, or plan some awesome trips of your own! 😊

@@SharingtheRoad thanks for the kind words! I have been very fortunate to travel to Asia for work as often as I have, it’s really been a life changing experience! My first trip out of the US was to Japan for work when I was 19 and I’ve been going regularly ever since! I have made some great life long friends from it! Take care and safe travels!

I agree!. I travel alone all the time. But I had a trip 2 times with my friends. I was so frustrated because what my interests and their interests are so different. I like history but they like shopping. It was wasting a time. I'll never do that again

Totally agree with your pros & cons! I'm so glad I had the courage to try solo travel. I have travel buddies but if they're not available, I know I can go on my own.

I've traveled solo for years and love it. I find it's worth the extra cost. At first it was difficult to eat alone, but now I've gotten used to it. Keep the videos coming!

Another great video. I did London solo in 2017 and had the time of my life. My suggestion for solo travelers in London is to join a few walking tours. You'll meet people. But London is great for the solo traveler. I plan to go back someday, and I plan to go back solo.

No Risk, No Story--that's a good one. The Mrs. decided we are done with hostels, even the uppity ones you showed.

Hi Hal, thank you for taking the time to make this video. The majority of my travels are solo and I totally agree with you about meeting new people. I now have friends from many different countries which makes life so much more interesting and fun! I also agree with Traci's post below, for me the biggest con is the eating alone part.... After a year and a half of COVID I am looking forward to traveling again this August.

Rebels! I know this video doesn’t apply to everyone but I think it’s really important to let other people know certain things before they decide to travel alone. It can be super stressful and very annoying if you are not prepared. So if this series helps even 1 person then it was worth making it ✌🏾

It does not apply to me much, but still helpful. Thanks for the insight.
