Finally got this thing figured out after watching this video several times! The directions it came with doesn’t list ALL of the steps! Extremely frustrating! Just glad it’s over with! FYI, the plug that ours came with doesn’t fit! It’s too big! It will not go in. And our brackets were already bent.

When did that other screw get put in? It just shows you screwing in the one with the knob and then screwing in the screw to the next poll, but there’s a piece of metal already in the second hole, by the ADS screw. And the directions I have doesn’t say to put in a 3rd screw.
@KristinHenderson19813 жыл бұрын
And I’m talking about the first step….then you move on to the irreversible step! I’m terrified to proceed because you have a screw, or something in, that I don’t & your directions, and the directions I have, don’t say to do! The hole above the screw, on mine, is empty! What am I supposed to put there? Another ADS screw???????? ….extremely frustrated and annoyed!

Detailed instructions are found in the assembly manual and can be downloaded from the manufacture’s website at lifetime.com under the model number. You can find manuals by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the web page and clicking on "Assembly Help". You can then search all products by model number and language.

If you can still see the slot from the bottom pole after the middle pole is seated completely on to it, it means that the poles are not seated all the way. This is a great question! "No Tools Required" is referring to the adjustment mechanism and how you don't need tools to adjust the height, but you do need tools for the actual build. There definitely can be some work to make this more clear. We'll be working on this. Thank you!

It is normal for the screw freely. This will not effect the system security.

These instructions are hilariously unhelpful. First of all, who named these pieces? Why not just “A” and “B” or “1” or “2”? Because ABW and AAT and AJM are hurting my brain. Then there is the “irreversible” step…Every commenter is complaining about Step 1.5 and the folks at Lifetime just can’t seem to explain what the hell is supposed to happen. Hint: a video where you read unclear instructions does not make the instructions more clear. Why are we putting a loose screw in the hole? Does it go into the slot?? What is “the hardware”??? Why are we banging the pole to “seed” the poles???? The reviews said the instructions are terrible. Trust the reviews. Do better, Lifetime.
@LifetimeProductsAssembly3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rich, Thank you for your comment and your ideas on how we can improve the assembly process for this build. The reason we have you seat the poles together is so the poles do not separate while they are at use. The screw will go into the oblong slot. The slot is oblong to help easily identify the pole you need to use and how far you have to seat down so the system is at the correct height. We say that the screw can be loose due to that oblong slot. The screw, however, is still very essential to help the system stay together. I hope these answered your questions. If you need further explanation, feel free to reach out to our customer service team. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer Service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (MT).
