The three matching planters really help keep the space from looking too "busy". Well done! I might suggest adding some of the little stick-on felt circles on the bottom of them to keep from scratching the floor. Looks real sharp!

@@LifewithAshleyAnita is that the 20 watts or the 40 Watts?
@mspurefunk52 жыл бұрын
I really like the way you styled this corner. I’ve seen other videos on silted lights. My main issue is that I have such an open floor plant that I don’t have a lot of corners like this. Places where I can put lights are inconvenient for same people relaxing/TV spots. I do need grow lights to get my babies through the winter. Ugh. What a dilemma.

Just be careful, philos needs around 150-400 PPFD so check PPFD table on this soltech light and adjust height accordingly to avoid burn and light splotches on leaves ! good luck

Perfect timing for me to see this update! I’m planning a planty corner in our cozy loft space, and was planning on a soltech light. Is yours the small or larger one? I’ll be sure to use your code, thanks again for the update!❤️

It's common in the tropics about 2$ 😅 I have mine growing outside... BUT! You should get the golden version of it, so much rarer and prettier. About 10$ here 😃

Ashley, how many watts is the one you have?I have been thinking getting one.Not sure if 20 w would be enought for my ficus.
@LifewithAshleyAnita2 жыл бұрын
It’s definitely worth googling how much light the ficus needs so ensure you get the correct one.

A couple hundred dollars? Yikes. Was it one of those social media plants? I wait until the popularity dies down, like with Pink Princess. Just got a big one for under $20. I like those clear plastic pots you have with the slits in them. I’m slowly switching all my plants to orchid pots, I think all indoor tropical benefit from better air circulation to the roots…even if it means more watering. Can you share where you got them?

Living where you do, why don't you have your plants outside for the spring, summer and fall? It's not natural for plants to be in a house and be expected to survive, especially when the sun is high up and not shining into the house like it does in the winter because it's low on the horizon. Your plants would benefit sooooooo much if they were outside like plants are supposed to be in the warm weather. There is nothing like a natural environment for plants when the weather is available. Do yourself a favor and put your plants outside for the warmer months so they can benefit from natural light and conditions. I put my houseplants outside from May to October, and I'm in NJ, my plants triple their size in 5 months or so. 🙂🪴
@LifewithAshleyAnita2 жыл бұрын
Nice! Wish I could but I don’t have a place with any shade outside. Plants do love it though!

@@LifewithAshleyAnita Build a Pergola with a heavy screen over it, you won't be disappointed with the growth....not to mention you get rid of a lot of pest and disease issues. With a Pergola you can have many hooks to hang plants from, it's a win win situation. 🙂
