I did this and that's my 1st time full length hair cut that I didmyself. I actually had a long hair upto my mid thigh level. I needed to short it, but due to a busy schedule couldn't attend a saloon. Now I can cut my own layers at home... and I did 5 steps to reach my target ❤ Thanks a lot 🎉

My hair is short but I do a similar method. I make 4 equal sections of my hair and tie high ponytails. 2 in the back 2 in the front and chop off about an inch of each ponytail. Then I open one ponytail at a time and trim off any uneven lengths. That's it. I've stopped going to the parlor unless it's an emergency. Dermaplaning for face shaving or hair removing lotion for under arms hands and legs and plucker for eyebrows. Absolutely no need to go to a parlor.
