You have to make travel and family time a priority. My mom died at 64 in 2019. My dad died in 1999 at the age of 42. We were broke. We didn't spend time together as a family and we darn sure didn't vacation. Before my mom died, she said not to wait to take that vacation. She said she spent her whole life working herself to the bone and put off going on that cruise or vacation. I never got the chance to vacation with my mom. I take our daughter out of state every month. We just did a side by side cruise. We did Carnival Liberty then 6 hours later, jumped on Allure. I want our daughter to have worldly travel experiences and making memories with me. We gambled on our health when we started to save. Who ever made the most money, that whole paycheck went into savings/investments. We did it for 20 years. We retired at 47 but that 20 years of saving was a grind. We are thankful neither of us got sick or hurt. We lived below our means but we lived well. Our house is just a 900 sq ft house. Our cars are used. We don't care that our house isn't flashy and our cars are 2013s. Just keep people out of your head and move in silence.

You guys did the same thing we did. We have paid off both cars, and this year paid off our home. We also have rental properties. We don't spend on dumb things, so we have very little consumer debt, and maxed our 401k. So we are also scheduled to retire early.

I was an avid traveler that ended up on pause during the pandemic. Losing family to death, losing jobs and living in several states made me take quick road trips just to get out of the house. I became a travel agent but its really not producing income like that. Ive decided to just use the perks for my own personal traveling. I turn 40 in 2024 and will focus on my birthday trip. Hi guys, I always worked hard and saved hard. I worked over 40 years and never really did vacations or took sick days. My Paid time off was always at the maximum amount. I was raised poor and I was determined to always have money. God put a financial planner in my path early in my life that took a personal interest in me and he taught me about investing and saving when I was young. My problem was letting go of money. I would do without anything to save. I even do my own nails and hair today. Now, that we are retired we do what we want when we want. We took money from one of our regular savings and started a vacation account. I still do not spend money on keeping up with with folks. We started cruising watching you two and some others. Cruising is our thing, but we still keep our eye on that household spreadsheet. We love living life and saving money. I learned early about the difference between needs and wants.Thank you all you do.

I decided I wanted to be on a cruise ship on my 50th birthday in 2025. So I’m paying for this cruise a little at a time between now and then. And the amount it is, I can cancel subscriptions or eat out less and it’s covered. Make it a priority and pay yourself every time you get paid. You can do it!

I would love to travel more. I typically travel once a year but since my kids are grown I plan on changing that. I have set up my savings with bi weekly deposits so I can travel when I want to. My next thing is to stop waiting on others to get on the band wagon with me. Solo cruising is in!!!!

My family is from St David’s Bermuda. You’ll love it! Locals are so friendly. Take a carnival cruise that stays 3 days so you can explore the whole island. It’s small but plenty to do and super safe. The beaches are absolutely beautiful. Don’t go to snorkel park. It doesn’t represent how beautiful the other beaches are! .Rent a moped scooter and travel to coopers island, go cliff diving, see the crystal caves, get a famous fish sandwich, take a picture/ share a kiss under a Bermuda moongate… so much more I can tell you but too much to type!

I'm so glad i found this channel & specifically THIS video. My hubby & I are going on our 1st cruise this Dec. It took our 27yr old son (who's getting married this Nov & decided to plan his honeymoon on a cruise for 7days & they planned the sail date on our wedding anniversary) we've never had a honeymoon so our son & his fiance invited us to cruise with them so we could have our 1st "honeymoon " as well. It blew our mind that they thought about US on their special day (but of course, we won't be all together the entire 7days) but we're able to make this time special together as well (like spending Christmas in Jamaica🤯). I've never been out of the U.S before or even on a vacation, except when we took our sons to Disney when they were very young. And we've always taken care of a family member, yes one of those unemployed, for YRS with nothing changing. But we're changing that situation soon too. So this video has lit a spark in me to keep making changes so hopfully this "honeymoon" is just the beginning.

29:17 love you two I am a travel agent and coach. We average 5 cruises a year, all inclusive resorts, stay cations. I just got off my 59th sailing. I was diagnosed with lupus in 2010 and made a vow I would travel, see the world, because at any time life could happen. We live unapologetically. My husband retired at 42 in 06 and been at AA 16 years pt for ✈️ so we save on free flights, they give us the interline if they can’t fill the ship, or all inclusive My god son has us on his Hotel perk. The free cruises port charges and taxes I love you all’s content keep traveling and living life to its fullest. We are on Icon in May, already group booked for our 35th vow renewal cruise for 2025 Folks say ya’ll don’t let grass grow on ya’ll feet we leave folks behind No negativity. Having a savings account is the best decision I have made. I started it back in 2020 and only had to drip in it once for an unexpected emergency. So this year I decided to take my family (2 adults and 4 children, ages 6, 7, 14,17) on our first cruise to the Bahamas for 5 days!!! And I was able to pay for the entire trip and more just from my savings alone!!!!!

After doing a 15-day Transatlantic cruise on NCL through Europe this past December, I have decided that I want to keep doing international cruising. I have started a vacation savings so I can cruise through Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. I work in healthcare. During Covid I became an entrepreneur. I always had a passion for travel since I was a kid and learning about different counties and culture. I traveled when I was single but it was always where others want to go and so I felt like it was like traveling in a bubble that I wanted desperately to pop! Then I got married with 3 kids and I stopped traveling and became a robot. It was work then home and do more work. During Covid working in the Hospital it was ground zero and up close and personal on just how you are here today and gone tomorrow. I closed "the family bank" four years ago. They can find money to do dumb ish, don't call me. A wise man once told me, every time you get paid, pay yourself first (put money in a savings account that you don't touch.) Learn to live off the remaining money. If you put up 25%, live off the 75%. It really helped me. And stop being Captain Save a ______(you fill in the blank.) Stop buying everyone souvenirs when you travel. If they don't want to travel with you, they don't need souvenirs. Souvenirs equate to memories, they didn't go so what memories are they reliving. I book cruises a year in advance so by the time I cruise it has been paid for and I average 6-8 cruises a year. Love yourself because you come first.

Ghost kitchens yes. I was gigging with Doordash and was driving around looking for a restaurant and it kept taking me to Denny's. I finally went inside and they had a sign for the restaurant....tripped me out.

I just discovered the possibilities of traveling to Dubi... My husband & I have a 3rd cruise planned May 2024(Carnival) and since listen to this stream in the process of planning a quick Valentine Day/ Wedding Anniversary trip to Las Vegas.

I Love to travel got my husband on his first cruise in May of this year on RC IOS he loved it and now we have 3 cruises planned in 2024 one being GNS with you all in July. Can’t wait. 😊
