Filipino people are honored to hear these kindness. To be honest, in a simple phrase or sentence Filipinos will feel special. We are happy and grateful that mormon missionaries really loved our culture.

Filipinos are raised by our ancestors to respect others and be polite always. The crunching while there’s two people are talking is a must always , for Filipinos it’s so rude if you pass by without excusing yourself. We also have words that we use, like PO at OPO that taught to us by our parents when we are still at a very young age to always use it when we are talking to elder people or strangers. Being respectful and family is always important to Filipinos.

Thank you for the compliments brad. Bisaya ko ug theirs a story behind our gesture why we squat or duck like what you,ve seen here. The reason is that we wage war with other local tribes before the spanish and americans colonized us. It makes us easy to stand and look around or behind us to see if there's enemy. That's why magpungko mi ug ingon anah. It becomes a habitual gesture hangtod karon.
