*FUN FACT:* This is one of the few legendary powerlifting records that was done with a 9/9 performance. One thing about Jesus’ opener deadlift…he dropped it about 2-3 inches off the ground. I think that’s why he got a red light and tbh he should have failed that attempt. However, he still would have gone up. You can see his face after he stood up. I think he knew he dropped it but got lucky.

This is why I don’t think a stiff bar should be used for deadlifts. It’s so thick that it’s difficult to hold onto and you can see his over hand slipping as he locks out that last deadlift. Just move everything to a deadlift bar. Easier to hold onto and looks cooler cause bar bend.

Concerning strict judging in the IPF, it at least seemed a lot worse to me 5-ish years ago. People got called for anything and everything. They were definitely strict in Sheffield but at least you could absolutely see what lifts got called for if you watched closely and knew the rules. I'd still relax it a bit but imo, it has improved. @@jacekwaasiewicz716 yeah but his hair is very dense. if he was using androgens id expect to see a reduction in density (look at petes hair for example)... unless he has 1 in 100million hair genetics and is bullet proof from hair loss.

A genetic freak is never beating a genetic freak who is also on peds. Dan Bell is that freak who is on peds. Tested lifters breaking untested records have 0% chance of being natty.

At the it "took them so long" because he should't get the 410 but the jury then overruled the decision... 😉

Do you actually believe he’s natty or just cause you want him on the podcast though lol. All time world record total? Idk man. Either way I don’t even factor that in. Drugs or not (no way to know) this 9/9 performance was one of the best of all time.

Look no disrespect but you don’t know enough about peds to talk about wether people were natty or not, being a tested lifter does not mean they’re not juicing. Every single super heavy weigh is juicing, id bet my that John haack had injected hundreds of grams of gear These numbers are physically impossible by a natty lifter, that’s not to discredit them because there’s maybe a dozen people in the world who could get close to this even with every compound under the sun
