There was a 1955-58 Highway Patrol Marathon over the weekend. I love watching that show as a kid in the 60s. But now I appreciate all the original mint condition factory trucks cargo vans and cars they got back then. Trucks were utility vehicles. Plus the extremely rare California Highway Patrol only two door Buick centuries. They didn't arrest many people back then the corner took them away. Great show.

We still have my late father in laws 57 napco suburban. Cool ride.

My dad painted on old 57 panel window wagon for a guy we worked with ! Thing was awesome ! 👍😁

That Suburban is pretty cool. And to think, the Suburban is about to turn 90 years old. What a legacy!

We still have a 1959 Chevy 2 dr Utility with a NAPCO 4 X 4 conversion. 165,000 miles and it still runs good.

My grandparents passed on a 1955 chevy sedan hopefully it will be restored soon

Dennis, it´s so nice to see this ´70 Plymouth Satellite 4 Door Sedan, even because i´see a big fat fail at all these car shows; There aren´t 4 Doors. And what is the most sad about no 4 Doors arround, that the most beautyful & amazing Bodystyle, the pillarless 4 Door Hardtop Sedans was sooo importand. So importand about the Automobile History, especially for the American Automobile History. The 4 Door Hardtop, but even also the ordinary pillared 4 Door Sedan was that kind of classic car that would stand for the look of the roads back in the days more than any other kind of car. The mid 1950´s - end of 1970´s the 4 Door Hardtop, especially in the full size car class was the most importand kind of cars for the American Auto Industry, you could see how much care GM, Ford & Chrysler put into design and style this kind of cars. For me as an Autodesigner & Stylist, the 4 Door is so importand, because i think we´ll see a big come back of the Sedan, and i´ve drawn many differend Design Studies for 4-Door hardtop Sedans, like a new Charger, Polara, Impala, Ford Gran Torino, Chevy Impala and i´m still working on these creations...Hope i can amaze anyone in the Styling & Design Centers of GM, Ford or Chrysler, because i´m still looking to bring back this soul back into the American Auto Industry, however i´m from germany, Bavaria ;) My heart beats for the American Automobile, however i also have a big heart for Alfa Romeo & Maserati, too. It was so great to see more Car Guys rescue 4 Doors, especially 4 Door Hardtop Sedans. But what is so crazy for me to see is how many of these classic cars, still in good condition let their life for "Parts Cars" or scraper in the States. That is something what i can´t understand, because i know how sad, how bad it is to live in a country where 99% of all vintage cars, junk yards and such places was "Recycled"...And is lost forever. So it´s really not possible to understand, how people could part out or crush an classic car that survived untill 2022... :/ And no, they must not complete, parts are out there. But the most of these amazing, beautyful 4 doors goes parted out and crushed & most of them has nice conditioned bodys. I´m rebuilding whole wheel arch sections at Front fenders and Quarter panels, never thought that i´ll could do that or even get the skills for rebuilding sheet metal in this kind of work. But i got, when i saw that 750 bucks for an Front fender that would could also have the same rust in the same areas, i thought that i should try to rebuild...and so i got this skills about rebuild sheet metal, like a whole wheel arch/Area at Front fenders, or whole wide of the lower windshield frame and such things, when i started on my 67 Chevy Caprice 4 Door Hardtop, what i got from Ohio. And Ohio, yes, the cars rust there and i had and still have Bodywork to do. But even like i sayed, sheet metal work could be a nice work and the most people only chance parts if an part is interchangable...What costed a lot of restorable, nice classic cars, but i think the most of the classics are lost because they was crushed for that metal prices, what is a shame. Last week an really nice collection at texas was going nearly complet to the crusher, after the old man who´ve collected all these nice classics with care, build barns for it and then? Then there comes careless, heartless recycleboys to crush nearly the whole collection after the old man passed away. I think he is spinning in his grave for that. But that story is a real hard example, how and why in 2022 classic cars goes still to the crusher, without care, however there are so many car enthusiastic people out there. For me it is something what i can´t understand & i wish, if i would be very rich to safe the places like "Junk Yards", especially the abandoned ones. Because i´m sure that there would be come a time, with new generations of car guys, fathers with sons who´ll get an buildable classic car for an affordable own Project. I´m 35 years old and when i think about when i was in the 20´s then the prices for vintage vehicles like the most famous was a lot less than yet. And for most people an Charger, Mustang or such Famous Muscle" isn´t affordable yet. And so the eyes goes to the less famous examples for many people. But when all is scrapped in some years, what then??? :/ However, i hope to see more of your nice car show videos, you´re a great guy with a heart for all those nice vintage vehicles and also a nice knowledge about, that´s something what many guys with car shows doesn´t have but you have it! :) Cheers Till

Thanks, DENNIS! WOW: Interestingly, that 57 GMC 100 is spectacular ( I,have a 2007: GMC CANYON 2 DR/SL/ Loaded, except Deluxe Int Group) and , the 57 Trucks is a special treat( 347 Pontiac engine ,! Can you imagine IF THEY had some with Tripiwer or FUEL INJ and THE DEALER installed 1957 Camshafts!!!.,.. great stuff..AND , I ALSO * had a wonderful FORD **1956 4 Door/Thunderbird Engine/ auto/ Blue Velour/ Skirts/ low miles out of Florida, ; that got totalled quickly..........

I had a magazine article from 1964 that featured the TVR Griffin- a TVR with a 289. That car would have been a screamer.

My first car in 1976 was a 1969 Dodge Coronet 2dr with a 318...it had 58,000 miles and I paid $200 for it.

Sorry- I never understand the idea of wide whites on a 60's-70's car. On a 55 Buick or a 54 Lincoln I could see it but narrow white walls were the deal in the 60's- 70's. It was even hard to find wide whites then. That Satellite would have been original and looked killer with narrow or pin stripe side walls.

Again, so many great cars shown in the fillers, and we are being bored with a shitty TVR painted in an even worse color. GREAT CHOICE
