Great programme! My good friend Larry Barbera and his wife Pat with the Austin Dorset has unfortunately passed so the car may well be in new hands now. They also had a genuine Austin Gasser with blown small block which has probably gone too. Both car's are superb and well built. RIP Pat and Larry, your'e sorely missed.

Another great episode Dennis - so cool to see car shows on historic streets right?! Serious car guys there, all great. My fave was the Lincoln, like a boss!

Loving that pearl white Lincoln Mark III. That's one of the few cars that I think look great with a vinyl top, but gotta admire dude for taking it off and cleaning it up. Keeping it simple with that pearl white/black leather combo kind of lends itself to no vinyl top. Also that has to be the most radically low factory roof lines ever offered on any car, like Dennis said, he wasn't sure if it was chopped. I personally like the switch blade 1967 and 1968 Eldorado with no vinyl top a just a bit more in terms of style, but this thing beats the pants off the Mark IV and Mark V or any Eldorado of the 70's in terms of cool.

That Austin ("Dorsette" -did he pronounce that ?) was Great. THAT'S what they need. Driving some of those 50's &60's British cars were often no pleasant drive. I had a 60's Austin Cambridge A60 Countryman Estate (a wagon) and it had no syncro-mesh, on the manual trans box, so you HAD to Stop ! -before engaging the clutch to get down into first. The 'Double-D' clutch method meant you had to depress the clutch TWICE between gears. Make mine a Torqueflite/TH400 or a Dynaflow. We needed some of those auto trans and power assist features on our cars, but all we got was those eccentric elevating indicator/trafficators. Every time I saw an American car over here, they looked years ahead, even though US imports, even Cadillacs usually never had A/C, as this was beyond most Brits at the time. Dennis does a GREAT show and I love his enthusiasm, but you wouldn't want to be stuck on a desert island with him, would you ? Anyway, Hi to all Gearheads everywhere, and regards from DORSET. UK.

Chevrolet Suburban started in 1935. Suburban is the oldest nameplate General Motors has used to date

It's not only the oldest that GM has used, it's the oldest continuously used nameplate in all of automotive history.

First off, it's a '37 and it's been street rodded. Looks like a lot of fun to me! So what's the problem?? 🤔

Why? It could never be matching numbers anymore. The entire front end was destroyed or missing. Why not have a cool looking old ride out of it. I could agree with you if it were a matching numbers car, but for reals, it's his time and money, let a dude live life.
