This should be applicable for most 1998 and newer Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, and Lincoln Town Cars. The steering shaft may vary between the years.

Want to do 2 inch lift on a 2011 LX.
@lessthanscientific724
@lessthanscientific724 2 ай бұрын
It's a very similar process as the older chassis. The primary difference is that the steering shaft of the 2003+ needs to be extended roughly 50% of the body lift height. If this isn't done, we've seen it pull apart the lower section of the steering collum and lose steering. This is a MUST.

Great tutorial! We’ll be putting a 3” suspension lift on my son’s 2011, I hope a body lift like yours is still as straightforward with the difference in steering you mentioned. Vics kick ass.

Hey! Nice video! I got the link from Off Road Panthers! I'm the member with the orange 99 vic with the giant bull horns and 33 mud tires!. I have a 1 inch body lift, gonna go 2 inch when I have the time. Yes those front bolts were a pain! Great video! Cheers!

Thanks! I know exactly which car you're talking about! I love that rig! Its honestly a pretty simple lift but there are a few challenges. We made the video because we couldn't find one that answered the questions we had. We hope it helps people in the future.

Cool guys! I ordered a front and rear spring lift kit for my '96 Crown Victoria. Can I maybe send you some possible questions, when I start installing?
@lessthanscientific724
@lessthanscientific724 2 жыл бұрын
We just uploaded a video of the rear lift that would likely help with the install. I personally don't have experience lifting the pre 98 panthers. Feel free to send questions, but I might not have all the answers.

Im thinking maybe I would like to do a 1 hockey puck lift . I want to keep the front bumper , and not have to clearance my steering shaft . I think I can use the same bolts that you got . So the only bolts that required a nut are the front ones ?
@lessthanscientific724
@lessthanscientific724 2 ай бұрын
Doing a 1" lift, we would probably use some 120mm bolts. And you are correct, only the front 2 require nuts.

Great video and content!👍 I just have one question I'm not a hundred percent clear did you have to modify your brake lines and fuel lines or did they give enough to accommodate the hockey pucks..?🍺

@lessthanscientific724
@lessthanscientific724 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Albert, sorry I missed your questions. For some reason I stopped getting notifications for this account. Your 04' Towncar would have the same number of mounts and locations and the only significant difference would be that on the 03' and newer cars I believe you need to extend the steering shaft.

Can this be done on the newer body style panthers?
@lessthanscientific724
@lessthanscientific724 2 жыл бұрын
I believe that 03+ have the same body mount locations. The only difference would likely be the steering shaft since the newer style had rack & pinion. If you do it please let us know!

Do u have to reuse the old rubber gramits ?
@lessthanscientific724

Yeah, the only parts that don't get reused are the stock bolts, and the front threaded bushings if you have to cut the fronts.

@lessthanscientific724
@lessthanscientific724 Жыл бұрын
The bolts we use are the same thread pitch. They thread into plates in the body. The only ones that have nuts are the front two on the core support. On the 2003 you will need to cut and extent the steering shaft. We don't have a video on that yet but will try to get one soon.
