@@LiftedNoise yes These machine is very great but some Bugs destroy my Musicer live for Example the New Volume knob in the left upper corner When using this knob my external Gear like digitakt or octatrack get out of sync or when you fire up some midi Notes via midi thru to the walforf blofeld and you use the pad Perform in Chords Mode then Play some notes and know like a ghost starts the midi Sequenz on All external gear. The speaker on the mpc live 2 is very good

Nice video, I wish the MPC would have built in tools to detect and correct the keys/tune. Similar features are available by default in so many daws.

That's pretty much how you do it. Good stuff. Don't forget to normalize. If you like where it's sitting in the mix or if you like the stereo effects you hear keep it stereo. Otherwise I sum the left and right channel to mono and let the user pan it to their likings.
@LiftedNoise
@LiftedNoise 4 жыл бұрын
Good tips 🙏 I could have gone more in depth. I don't think I normalized the samples. I ended up putting a compressor on the channel insert.

Great content brotha. What cable connection do you use to get output of MPC to Korg tuner? I got an earlier model of the Korg tuner but don't know if I should be running just the left cable to it or get a Y cable with 1 1/4 TRS to dual 1/4 TS or what?

you listed everything that you used, except for the tuner lol...yooooo!! lemme 1st start off by saying thank you!!! I didn't even something like this ever even existed!! How does is work though? Lets say I get a tuner (something I was hoping would come in an mpc update smh) and I have an 808 that I'm trying to get in key. Lets say I want it in A minor, and the tuner is showing it to be C...can the tuner get it to A minor? or is that something you have to do manually with the MPC and if that's the case, how do you do that?
@LiftedNoise
@LiftedNoise 3 жыл бұрын
The tuner just indicates what your pitch is. So you will plug your mpc output into this. The tuner will tell you if your notes are so you can Then tune or fine tune with your mpc as you monitor what's happening on the tuner. But to be clear this is for single notes, not chords or the key of a progression/sample. With the MPC Update 2.10 you do have key detection though.
@peterpowell5189
@peterpowell5189 3 жыл бұрын
@@LiftedNoise yes there’s key detect, but I when it detects the key and you need it changed to another key, how do you do that?

@@LiftedNoise bro this is super helpful. I’m ordering one now. All I need it for is 808 tuning purposes. So now I can hit the 808 and see what it is, and then go into sample edit and make the adjustments from there. But they still need to make an update where there’s a tuning feature.

Why sample three notes from the record and lay them across the keyboard, instead of just sampling one note?
@LiftedNoise

The more notes the better. If you just sample a single note, the quality will degrade the further its pitched away from the original sample.

Hey bro it's been a long time. I've been thinking about getting that mpc live like you said. I'm leaning towards it. What if I dont have a turntable to sample but want to sample from KZbin what devices do I need to do that? " To sample from KZbin "....... because we both know every artist or song is on KZbin and that would be where I'll be looking to sample HOW OR WHAT DO I NEED TO SAMPLE FROM KZbin? THANKS BRO

I've sampled KZbin in the past just using my phone and a stereo trs to 3.5mm audio cable. That's all you really need. Thanks for stopping in again. I don't usually mention it. If you do decide to go for the LIVE, just a suggestion, I buy all my gear from zzounds and they have a great pay as play offer. I did $250 a month for 6 months a believe.

@@thomascraighead3489 I think you're probably talking about soundflower, which gives you the ability to route the audio playing from your computer into the mpc software and sample it. You could do that with the live but it wouldnt be necessary with the lives physical inputs you could use the cable I described and your phone to sample directly from KZbin
