this brought back so very many memories for me. Glenn came to our church in Sugar Land Texas, and our choir sang many of his wonderful songs 🙏🏻🙏🏻 My Mom (rip) and I even recorded his "Born to Die" in its entirety along with other's. may he RIP 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻I know he is singing in heaven with my parents now.

Glenn was a personal mentor and friend to me for many years. He was my very first composition teacher. I was so nervous bringing him my little songs, but he treated them and me with great kindness. Such a humble, obedient and graced servant of our Lord.

A brilliant composer, excellent pianist, incredible musician, and wonderful coveyor of faith, love, joy, and culture. Dr. Burleigh is dearly missed, but his music still speaks, praises, and comforts. ❤

OMG! Glen, Glen, Glen!!! I am at the point of tears listening to this. This is worship music at its best and most sacred without all of the staging, theatrics and competition. Glen presented this at his citywide concert in Omaha, NE based on his "Songs of Healing" that was in tribute to a Minister of Music and his assistant musician both at a point of death. One lived the other died but needless to say rehearsal was over after he taught this song because the choir went beserk afterwards...

This is such a beautiful composition of worship Im going to teach it to the choirs. Some hymns of praise never loses its anoiting and this is one of them.

I had the privilege of sitting under the direction of Glenn Burleigh in the GMWA for several years. He was an anointed minister of music, writer, composer and leader in music worship. We had worship in rehearsal.

Oh how I miss Glenn. He pushed me and gave me something musically that no other music minister has ever given me. I met him when I was only twelve years old. At the time, he was the Minister of Music at the Morning Star Baptist Church of Omaha, Nebraska, of which my mom's sister, was a member and one of his lead singers. My Aunt would send for me every spring break when I was a lad and I'd glean from Glenn Burleigh every time I'd go there. He's always made sure that I played when I would go to Omaha. At musicals and the worship services. So it was a no brainer, when he began doing workshops in my hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas, I would be the musician for most, if not all of his workshops. Thanks Glenn. I miss you soooo much!

He was a real nice man. I had the opportunity to meet him while he was writing music for the choir I was singing on. He even rode in my small car. He was so humble...he didn't brag that he wrote Order My Steps, one of the most famous song in gospel music. He was a real class act...someone that Gospel Music hasn't seen since Thomas Dorsey as far as humbleness.

Glenn Burleigh was my mother's classmate from Guthrie, OK. As a kid i remember coming to Guthrie every evening for a week for his Music Workshop. My mother still has all of his original compositions

We sang most of Professors Music at LeMoyne-Owen College-Memphis. The best part was that Dr. Burleigh was there and taught us. He was very humble and loved to mentor us young eager college students.

The drummer tried to rush the tempo but Mr. Burleigh knew just what it needed. That man had a way of ushering the spirit in. I'm so glad I was able to experience learning from him.

In his defense that tempo is difficult to hear...

I don’t think so. I’ve taught this song to several choirs. Some times drummers rush. It’s okay lol

LiftHimHigh, Once again you have captured my heart. I was listening to a "Ship" radio broadcast back in the day. Bro. Glen Burleigh was a special guest artist there with the choir. That night was totally awesome to say the least. I don't know if this was the same night or not. But the holy atmosphere was then as in this clip. Thank you for blessing us with excellence!!!

I just ordered the sheet music for this song. I am looking SOOOO forward to doing this song. Glenn Burleigh was a very nice man who was about nothing else but the choral worship of God...nothing more, nothing else. I've had the wonderful opportunity to meet and converse with him on numerous choral engagements. His brand of worship is definitely missed today!

this is a moving song...i ♥ it!!! If you read Habakkuk 2:20 it talks about wat the choir is singing. I still think it's a moving song tho. This'll make anyone's soul catch on fire and itz got that good rythym to it. Good song Glenn Burliegh! This makes me wish tht some of the songs artists have today were like this.
