Just used one at my job that has an easy button to release load. I accidentally hit it and dropped the load. I mentioned that the style of magnetic crane lift they have is unsafe. No way should it be that easy to release the load by an almost hair trigger lever.

It lifted the internal magnet far enough to no longer have effect.

@@jaxturner7288 that would require a 100kg force on the on/off lever.... working with a 100kg magnet. Thus you are wrong... 2:00 shows a one handed easy movement to release the magnet.

@@annpeerkat2020 umm, guess you don’t understand what leverage is yet? Hint: the lever is not moving the magnet at a 1:1 ratio. 👌

@@jaxturner7288 dohhhh yes I do understand leverage..... clearly you don't understand what's happening here. I ended up doing my research, and understand how turning the handle TURNS one of the pair of permanent magnets, changing the magnetic field orientation.... NOT levering the magnet away from the lifted plate. Thanks for that great demonstration of ignorance and arrogance combined!
