My man these video were the best you made it look easy. Only if you were in Az to do my lift on blazer

Thanks! My truck is originally from Indiana so I bet you have a lot less rust so you won't have to cut your rear leaf springs out. A basic lift kit is pretty easy on these trucks, its mostly just replacing springs and shocks with a little brake work thrown in for fun.

Anti seize is your best friend on suspension bolts. At least on the shank that runs through the bushing. Looks good with the mild lift.

how well did it ride after the lift? Im looking at doing a 4" lift with 35's at some point on my 87 Jimmy

Overall, the ride is better than the old worn out shocks and saggy springs. Like with any lift, it is definitely a little more "floaty" than before and the handling took some getting used to.

did u have get a diffecen rear drive shaft
@ericsworkshop3 ай бұрын
Not for a fairly small lift, anything more than 4 inches and you probably need a longer drive shaft.

What was the actual lift measurements from the 2.5 lift? Did it come w those new rear shackles?
@ericsworkshop2 жыл бұрын
I totally forgot to do the math, but it ended up being about 4 inches because my old springs were completely trashed and sagged out. The shackles were not included, I ordered them off of LMC Truck. You shouldn't need them to install the lift, but mine were so corroded and my bolts were seized so it was a good time.

I checked out your channel cuz i heard you get plugged by Mike finnigan that is definitely not a northern truck. You've got to break the nut loose on the leaf spring bolt before the bolt is gonna turn and that earthquake is only gonna work as good as the air pressure you feed it. Turn your compressor up to 135 psi and put hi flow fittings on all your stuff you'll be amazed at how much better ALL your air tools work

The Earthquake was just for the heck of it. I mentioned that I had broken 2 sockets and a breaker bar on the bolt beforehand. The bolt was completely seized and had become one with the bushing sleeve. If you were wondering I bought the truck in Colorado but it was originally from Indiana and the lower parts of the body had a lot of rust. the front springs were kept well lubricated from the original engine leaking all over them but the rears weren't so lucky.
